Meditations With James Arheghan
Scripture: Colossians 2:6–7 In this episode of Meditations, we reflect on Paul’s instruction to continue walking in Christ just as we received Him. The Christian life does not only begin with Christ; it must continue in Christ. We are called to be rooted in Him, built up in Him, established in the faith, and overflowing with thanksgiving. Key Thoughts 1. The Christian life begins and continues in Christ We received Christ by faith, and we must continue to walk in Him by faith. 2. Be rooted in Christ Roots speak of depth, nourishment, and stability. Our private life with God must be strong if our public life will stand. 3. Be built up in Christ God is building character, maturity, endurance, wisdom, and faith in us. Christ is our foundation and our strength. 4. Be established in the faith Sound teaching matters. We cannot be stable in a faith we do not understand. 5. Abound with thanksgiving Gratitude protects the heart from murmuring and reminds us of God’s faithfulness. Reflection Questions Am I walking in Christ daily, or depending on my own wisdom? Are my roots growing deeper in prayer, the Word, and obedience? Is my life being built on Christ or on unstable things? Am I established in the faith, or easily moved by pressure and opinion? Is thanksgiving overflowing from my heart? Prayer Father, help me to walk in Christ daily. Let my roots go deeper in Your Word, in prayer, and in obedience. Build me up in Christ and establish me firmly in the faith. Let my life overflow with thanksgiving. In Jesus’ name, amen.
