Episode 1: How to Pronounce: 'I was Wrong' with Antwan Brothers

WELCOME TO OTHER FATHERS  This is a platform that exists to initiate honest conversation around fatherhood.  For this episode, I sat down with my friend: Antwan Brothers Upon meeting Antwan, I instantly felt that he was a genuine, humble, and kind dude. But what impressed me most was how I witnessed firsthand his loving care for his wife and kids. From that moment I knew I wanted to learn from him.  We sat down to coffee that next week, and through getting to know His story it became clear to me that what he has learned and been through could help other dads.  This episode is all about how we as dads can own up to our mistakes, and in that process: knowing when to take responsibility for our actions.  This conversation was as fun and as it was insightfully deep - I am excited for you to hear it! episode Episode 2: Good Dad, Difficult City with Gerald Griffin cover

Episode 2: Good Dad, Difficult City with Gerald Griffin

WELCOME TO OTHER FATHERS  This is a platform that exists to initiate honest conversation around fatherhood.  For this episode, I sat down with my friend: Gerald Griffin.  This episode is all about the areas of fatherhood from the ups and downs of transitioning into parenting, to what community looks like for parenting, and being more influential on your kids than the current culture of your city is.  In August of 2023 I got to have dinner with Gerald and a few friends. During our time together, I was impressed with his passion for the city he lived in, despite its contrary views to his beliefs.  After that dinner I knew I wanted to learn from Him on what it meant to raise Children in an environment that is less than ideal.  Where many are leaving their cities due to politics, a culture oppositional to beliefs, or overall wellbeing, what about those of us who don’t have the option to simply skip town?  This conversation was deeply insightful for me as a dad and I am hoping that it adds value to where you are currently in the fatherhood journey. Thanks for checking out today’s episode - enjoy! If you would like to support the show give it a rating, review, or a post on social media! Episode 3: Why 'I Love You, Dad' Changes Everything with Skip Heitzig

WELCOME TO OTHER FATHERS  This is a platform that exists to initiate honest conversation around fatherhood.  For this episode, I sat down with my Pastor and friend: Skip Heitzig  This episode is all about how we as dads can create lasting relationships with our kids. Where so many parents begin to develop strained relationships with their adult children - how do we maintain healthy connection to our kids for life?  Like many, I came to know Skip from his teaching of the Bible. Yet, what many may not know is his gifting shines as a dad to his son, Nate. As long as I have known the both of them, they have a relationship akin to being best friends. In the few years I’ve navigated through life - I find that consistently Children don’t end up liking their parents when they become adults. Being a dad to my son, I want to ensure that I can as much as possible maintain a relationship of love and care.  I sat down with Skip to pick his brain on how he fathered his son, and what he was intentional about to maintain a relationship with him all these years later.  This conversation was deeply insightful for me as a dad and I am hoping that it adds value to where you are currently in the fatherhood journey. Episode 4: Healing the Wounds We Didn't Create with Hakeem Bradley

WELCOME TO OTHER FATHERS  This is a platform that exists to initiate honest conversation around fatherhood.  For this episode, I sat down with my friend: Hakeem Bradley This episode is all about healing the generational wounds we experience as dads. Learning that we do not have to recreate the patterns that our fathers did, and that we can actually heal what has been broken.  Social media tends to be a vacuum of highlight reels, yet as I followed Hakeem’s life from the perspective of Instagram - He would consistently display the ups and downs of his fatherhood journey, for all to see.  I was compelled by his admiration and unabashed love for his Family, so I decided to reach out. Hearing his story on fatherhood, the family he came from, and what is still unraveling in his life today - I knew it would be insightful for many who have been in similar upbringings.  This conversation was deeply insightful for me as a dad and I am hoping that it adds value to where you are currently in the fatherhood journey. Liker at det er både Podcaster (godt utvalg) og lydbøker i samme app, pluss at man kan holde Podcaster og lydbøker atskilt i biblioteket.
