It was at this point he knew he needed to work towards being a part of a solution that didn’t just benefit the paying client but also the community and environment, so we can all thrive. Gareth applied his natural leaderships skills honed through charity work in South America, sports teams, being in the military and leading business' successfully through 3 economic downturns and rounded his skill set with roles leading commercial, strategy and business development teams. His last role was leading Worley's Global Distributed Energy Systems strategy and Power Networks & Systems team, focusing on positioning the company and clients to successfully navigate the energy transition, from which the idea of VECKTA was born. He is a dad, husband and friend who seeks out adventure at every turn, ranging from flying planes with the British Air Force, training for 2 months with the Shaolin Monks in remote China to travelling the world in search of endurance event pain and the next bike adventure. Some of his most memorable adventures were training for and completing Ironman Cairns, off-road motorbiking in Spain with his dad and solo from northern California to the bottom of Baja and back. Most recently he competed in California Enduro Mountain Bike Series with friends and completed Brek Epic (a 6 day race) with his wife.
