Ep. 6: Aiki and Embodiment with Sensei Oisin Burke

Join Batman and Stephen as they talk to Sensei Oisin Burke head of the European branch of Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu Muden Juku. Aiki is a mysterious and often misunderstood aspect of traditional Japanese martial arts. Sometimes teachers claim to have Aiki but who can tell? Sensei Burke trained in Japan for several years under Iida Hiroo Shihan who himself was a student of famed Kodo Horikawa, a longtime student of Takeda Sokaku the founder of modern Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu. This unbroken lineage offers Sensei Burke valuable insight into the inner aspects of this Art. For anyone interested in training in Dublin with Sensei Burke there will be a seminar held in South Dublin on the Sat 27th and Sunday 28th April 2024. It is open to everyone over the age of 18 (You can try Daito Ryu when you are 70!)
