29 episodesHey wonderful people, Hope you're well and the week was a winner or you're gearing up to take on an exciting few days ahead. Here's an excerpt from my diary titled, "The Power of Character". An idea of adaptation through empowered identities to move us through our daily challenges, however big or small. It's a great idea, nothing new, but it was great to put it into my own words. Hope you enjoy it and thank you as always for listening. Don't forget to like, subscribe or rate and review, leave a comment if you like and leave something behind to help me grow this community. Dear all, Thank you incredibly for your patience, your kindness and your understanding as this episodes get to you a little later than usual. I wholeheartedly appreciate you, this community and our listening audience. This episode is a super helpful one for ownership of our own mistakes, reconciling that we can't control everything and understanding that the responsibility to turn up is something that is shared not only by those who surround us in the moment, but those who have been in the same position well before us. We're never alone and we're never as separated as we feel or may think we are. You will get through this. If you are feeling alone, affected by the episode's contents or potentially you're having a tough week or month please talk to a friend, family, health professional or reach out to organisations like LifeLine or BeyondBlue in Australia and other services that can help you out wherever you might be around the world. Sending my best to you all and take care. be speaking to you very soon. Joel ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. The Joy of Consequence, after watching my sister, her husband and their kids for the past few days it was fascinating to look at how they shared consequence and reward with their children. The idea of delayed gratification and achieving a set goal is something I'm continuously fascinated with because all too often in my industry the goal posts are continuously being shifted and increasingly hard to aim for. But if we can set ourselves a goal with a reward that is fathomable and a consequence that is unendurable we can start to see the path towards achievement as being paved by the joy of consequence. Listen in to the episode for more, hope you enjoy. For something a little different this week, I've created a sleepcast. A short poetic narrative inspired by the great loves in our lives, the ones that make us feel safe, seen and supported. Reminding us of the magic in life, from moment to moment. This episode is to be listened to in a quiet moment, taking a nap or falling asleep. Set yourself up comfortably in your space, put on a favourite scent or incense and relax into the bed beneath. Have a great sleep! Once again, thank you for listening and for joining the podcast. Leave behind a comment, a rate or review, like and subscribe and be sure to share it with your friends. A reflection on my experience watching the live musicians bring to life the score of the smash hit Max Martin musical, "&Juliet". It was utterly mind blowing and their teamwork, dedication, attention to detail and effort was astounding. It inspired me for my efforts moving forward while on tour for Black Swan State Theatre Company performing Barracking for the Umpire around Western Australia and I hope there is something that inspires you too. Thank you for tuning in and listening along, be sure to rate or review, like and subscribe to the podcast wherever and however you listen. Sending my best for your week ahead. Good luck and thanks for stopping by, Joel ---------------------------------------- Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy [https://acast.com/privacy] for more information.
