Beskrivelse

In this Ep of 21 Questions by Trivia Tribe Mike asks about a 70s supergroup, twins that became famous in the 80s, and an action movie star that didn’t live to see his 90s… Not many people know this but when Elvis was kicking back with the Memphis Mafia at Graceland they would listen to this podcast and debate the answers. Elvis knew the guys would let him win no matter what so he would shout deliberately wrong answers knowing no-one would contradict him. His team even emailed this office once or twice saying we had got an answer wrong, but Elvis had got them right. We ignored those emails… Nobody likes a butt-kisser! 21 Questions is hosted by comedian and trivia host Mike van Acker. It’s a short, sharp trivia podcast where Mike gives you the answer to each question before he asks the next one so there’s no need for paper, pens, teams or a pair of ice skates.    New episodes every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. episode 21 Questions (Ep 65) Who doesn’t love the Socceroos? Suddenly Everyone Is A Football Fan! cover

21 Questions (Ep 65) Who doesn’t love the Socceroos? Suddenly Everyone Is A Football Fan!

In this Ep of 21 Questions by Trivia Tribe Mike asks about a famous basketballer, an infamous business type and a theme song from a 1980s TV show that became a hit - even though the show it was from didn’t really… Not many people know this but around the time of Marie Antoinette’s beheading she had just discovered podcasts and it’s fair to say she loved ours in particular. We received a letter from her basically saying ‘I’m a loyal listener and I think I’m about to be put to death – any chance of a rescue?’ Now, we love our listeners here so Mike immediately dispatched the 21 Questions Search and Rescue Mercenaries but sadly they arrived just a bit too late. But in Marie’s honour there’s a question in today’s ep about a French word. Best we can do at this late stage… 21 Questions is hosted by comedian and trivia host Mike van Acker. It’s a short, sharp trivia podcast where Mike gives you the answer to each question before he asks the next one so there’s no need for paper, pens, teams or an angry Ibis. 21 Questions (Ep 64) That Some Would Argue Should Have Been Ep 63 But Whatever!

In this Ep of 21 Questions by Trivia Tribe Mike will ask you about a city in Europe, a river in the USA and a pretty decent wall in China. Along the way Mike will say disparaging things about two female literary heroines and one former American president. It’s quite a lively episode! Not many people know this but Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture did not originally contain the cannon blasts for which it is now famous – but he knew it was missing something. Two days before the Overture’s first performance he was listening to this podcast and heard the question: Which homophone is both a large calibre weapon and a musical term for a round like 'Row Row Row Your Boat’? and he realised what the piece was missing! A quick trip to Guns ‘R Us and he was good to go! 21 Questions is hosted by comedian and trivia host Mike van Acker. 21 Questions (Ep 63) The Movie Star Whose Body was Stolen and Held for Ransom – Which No One Paid!

In this Ep of 21 Questions by Trivia Tribe Mike asks about a TV show that was huge (until it wasn’t), a movie star who sang in her movies (but didn’t really) and an Aussie band who started out playing for adults and ended up one of the biggest kids bands in the world… Not many people know this but the security guards at the Watergate Complex were listening to this podcast at the time of the famous break-in of 1972 and were so engrossed in it they completely missed everything unfolding upstairs - big sorry for the distraction fellas!   21 Questions is hosted by comedian and trivia host Mike van Acker. 21 Questions (Ep 62) The School Teacher Who Hated The Kids

In this Ep of 21 Questions by Trivia Tribe Mike will ask you about the American President who was invited to join the marines – he was in his 70s at the time! We’ll talk about a famous actor who’s inability to win an Oscar makes him a world record holder, and there’s even a Simpsons question as well – but it’s quite easy, we promise! Not many people know this but in 1879 when Aussie bushranger Ned Kelly was writing his famous Jerilderie Letter he mentioned this podcast! It’s a very long letter but on page 54 (of 56! Really-google it!) Ned wrote: “And whilst I realise my days on this Earth may be numbered, my existence now and yesterday and all the days before has been made all the sweeter for the dulcet tones of Mike van Acker and his 21 Questions podcast…’. So that’s nice. 21 Questions is hosted by comedian and trivia host Mike van Acker. episode 21 Questions (Ep 61) Fatal Attraction? OMW! cover

21 Questions (Ep 61) Fatal Attraction? OMW!

In this Ep of 21 Questions by Trivia Tribe Mike asks about a type of belt – but not the type you’re thinking about. There’s also a question about Buckingham Palace,  a tourist landmark in America and a fried fast food that they named a TV show after. Crazy times!   Not many people know this but on June 12, 1987 when U.S. President Ronald Reagan said "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" he was actually talking about a paywall that the Russians had put on this podcast so its citizens couldn’t listen in and learn about the rest of the world. Gorby completely misunderstood and tore down the Berlin Wall instead - and we’re very glad he did! Freedom for all oppressed peoples we say!   21 Questions is hosted by comedian and trivia host Mike van Acker. It’s a short, sharp trivia podcast where Mike gives you the answer to each question before he asks the next one so there’s no need for paper, pens, teams or the possum that lives in your ceiling and holds dance parties at 4am.   New episodes every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.   Get in Touch: ‘21 Questions by Trivia Tribe’ on FB or Email: mike@triviatribe.com.au [mike@triviatribe.com.au] Listen Here: https://linktr.ee/21Questionspod [https://linktr.ee/21Questionspod]   AI would have you believe: The episode begins with a birthday celebration and proceeds with a series of trivia questions covering various topics such as text message abbreviations, culinary trivia, historical facts, national sports, astronomy, sea creatures, entertainment, literature, music, and celebrity trivia.
