Beskrivelse

In Philippians 1:12–26, Paul shows us what it looks like to have a life centered on Christ. Writing from prison, he isn’t discouraged—he’s rejoicing. Why? Because the gospel is advancing, Christ is being proclaimed, and God is working through it all. Big Idea: A life centered on Christ reorders our mission and reshapes our vision. Paul reminds us: Our mission is gospel advancement Our lives aren’t about recognition, but Christ being known Prayer and the Spirit sustain the work And ultimately: “To live is Christ, and to die is gain.” What are you living for?

episode Micah 4:1-5 cover

Micah 4:1-5

Will injustice ever end? Will war ever cease? Will fear finally disappear? In Micah 4:1–5, the prophet lifts our eyes beyond the brokenness of the present to God’s promised future. Through the lens of the New Testament, we see that these promises find their fulfillment in Jesus Christ. In this message, we explore the biblical truth that God’s Kingdom is already—but not yet. Jesus inaugurated His Kingdom at His first coming, is gathering the nations through the gospel today, and will one day return to restore all things. Main Idea: Jesus has begun His Kingdom, is gathering the nations, and will one day restore all things. In this sermon: Jesus Established His Kingdom (Micah 4:1–2) Jesus Is Gathering and Transforming the Nations (Micah 4:2–3) King Jesus Will Restore All Things (Micah 4:3–5) Whether you’re wrestling with the state of the world or longing for hope in the middle of suffering, Micah reminds us that Christians live between the empty tomb and the new creation—confident that King Jesus is making all things new. If this message encouraged you, we’d love for you to like this video, subscribe to the channel, and share it with someone who needs the hope of Christ today.

episode Micah 1-2:13 cover

Micah 1-2:13

Most people don't enjoy being confronted. Yet some of the most loving things someone can do is tell us the truth when something is wrong. In the opening chapters of Micah, God confronts His people about their sin, hypocrisy, and spiritual drift. They were still gathering for worship and practicing religion, but their hearts had wandered far from Him. Through the prophet Micah, God exposes what is beneath the surface—not to destroy His people, but to restore them. In this message we explore: • Why God begins with His own people • The seriousness of sin and its consequences • How sinful actions begin with sinful desires • Why we often resist the truth we need most • The hope of restoration through the coming Shepherd-King Big Idea: God lovingly confronts the sin of His people so that He might restore His people. Whether you are walking closely with the Lord or find yourself drifting, Micah reminds us that God's correction is not evidence of His absence—it is evidence of His love. 📖 Scripture: Micah 1:1–2:13 ⛪ Ascend Bible Church | Indianapolis, IN 🌐 ascendbible.church [http://ascendbible.church]
