On Monday the 28th of October, 2013, at around 3:45pm, a frantic 999 call was placed to the London Ambulance Service in regards to a 6-year-old child who was not breathing and turning blue. Her parents screamed at the operator to hurry, insisting that they had no idea what had happened. This final episode follows on from part one, and the events that occurred after Ellie’s death, including the shocking revelations that proved complete and utter failure by all authorities involved. Over the years, many stories of parents being separated from their children due to baseless allegations have continued to make breaking news. For those people, being reunited with their children is the end of an unimaginable nightmare, where life can finally resume, and serious lessons can be learned. It appeared that this had tragically happened again in November 2012, when Ben Butler began a relentless media campaign to win back custody of his daughter Ellie. Despite clearing his name against allegations of abuse, Ellie still hadn’t been returned to his care, and members of the British public had nothing but sympathy for the circumstances he’d found himself in. Unfortunately, authorities began pandering to Ben in fear of repercussions from the general public.
