Nelly Thüring (1875–1972) hann med många saker under sitt långa liv — men som Malin Arvidsson konstaterar i sin nya bok är Thüring idag framförallt känd som teosof, feminist och socialist. Men hur blir en kvinna som växer upp under mycket enkla förhållanden i norra Skåne i slutet av 1800-talet inte bara framgångsrik fotograf med egna ateljéer i Lund och Göteborg, utan också tongivande inom den teosofiska rörelsen, uppskattad politisk agitator och sedermera en av Sveriges första kvinnliga riksdagsledamöter?
