Through reading and listening to experts, working with various conferences, and doing hundreds of interviews, Ron has built up an extensive knowledge of the subject. He began podcasting with the Elevate The Conversation show back in 2014, and then moved on to the Truth Be Told show along with Tony Sweet. In April 2021, Ron founded The Observation Deck, an online source for information on speakers and events in and around the UFO community.  Additionally, he also launched a podcast entitled The Observation Desk, that focused on where his passion lies — new theories and discoveries in the areas of Science, Technology, History, and the Paranormal. He delves into his experiences aboard the USS Princeton, recounting the events surrounding the infamous Tic Tac UFO incident near Catalina Island in 2004. Kevin sheds light on both personal and historical dimensions of this extraordinary event. This interview was recorded at Ozark Mountain UFO Conference on April 13, 2024. BIO: Kevin Day is a retired U.S. Navy Senior Chief Operations Specialist who specialized in radar systems. He is a TOPGUN air intercept controller with more than 20 years experience in strike group air defense including war-time operations. In November of 2004, off the coast of San Diego, Kevin was a radar operator on the USS Princeton, part of the USS Nimitz Carrier Strike Group. Over several days unknown objects were observed on radar. On several occasions, aircraft were directed to find the objects. The pilots reported seeing 40 foot-long Tic Tac shaped objects that performed remarkable maneuvers beyond the capability of our aircraft. This incident was made famous in a New York Times article in December 2017 in which it was also revealed the Pentagon had a secretive UFO investigation program.

Whilst an employee at the British Government's Ministry of Defence (MoD), Pope was responsible, among other duties, for investigating UFO phenomena to determine if they had any defence significance.
