First Responders and your Family: Strategies to manage the COVID-19 Pandemic

On this episode we welcome Denise L Moore, local author and photographer  and Denise Thompson, Resiliency Director for District 7 Fire and Rescue to discuss strategies for improving resiliency for our families and children. The discussion details how to start an OpK9 medical program at your department by identifying needs and coordinating with appropriate Veterinarian oversight. 2 - How your words can impact the decision to transport

Dr Manifold and Chief Clarkson discuss two recent cases and how the medic's interactions influenced the decisions and  impacted the care provided to our patients.  We don't' expect every patient to transported to the hospital but there are obvious scenes where you know the patients need to be assessed and transported.  Asking the patient , "Do you want to go to the hospital?"  may not be the best question to ask.
