AIRGAY RADIO – VJtheDJ for Dark Industry Recordings 📡 Originally broadcast April 22, 2017 on Air Gay Radio 🎧 Rereleased now on SoundCloud for the first time Back in 2017, I was invited to make a mix for Air Gay Radio, the international internet station dedicated to House, Techno, and Nudisco with a focus on music for and by the gay community. This mix — Dark Industry Recordings 12 — was my introduction to their worldwide audience. The invite came through Maria Dark, one of NYC’s fiercest tribal house producers and DJs, known for her dark, drum-heavy sound and releases on Nervous, Underground Collective, and Ggressive. My connection to Maria goes back years , through Philly’s legendary Shampoo Nightclub and my role as a record buyer at Armand’s Records (PHL), where underground DJs, producers, and heads came to dig. Maria even introduced me to DJ Tom Stephan, cementing the bridge between Philly’s underground and NYC’s deep tribal lineage. Alongside Patrick Martin Edouard (Air Gay Radio) and Yannick Martin (France), this broadcast represented more than a mix — it was a cultural exchange: Philadelphia grit → NYC tribal house → European underground A celebration of queer community, electronic music, and the spaces that keep it alive. Nearly a decade later, I’m rereleasing this set as part of my archives. It's a time capsule of the sounds, people, and connections that built my journey.
