I've been afraid to be myself my whole life. Fortunately, in my 20s I realized I was going to have to act in spite of fear if I was to have anything approaching a good life. Despite the many many times I've chosen to be myself inspite of my fear of rejection, the fear persists. The latest rendition of the fear of being myself is to share that I know we create the entire universe with our mind. We create at the level of solar systems all the way to what we'll have for lunch. Our creative power is infinite. AND, even better, we can take ever greater conscious ownership of this creative ability by articulating for ourself what we're conscious of having created. In my 20s I decided to have a spiritually oriented life full of spiritual leadership. Fifty years later I'm still reaping the benefits of that "creative" decision. I choose to have a profession where I was compensated for the value contributed, not the hours worked. This "creative" decision has resulted in me having a great deal of discretionary time through out my life. These are some of the "creative" decisions that have shaped my life. Creating wealth

We create with our mind. More specifically, we create by acting on our thoughts. Our thoughts can be conscious or unconscious, positive or negative, true or false. To make room for more conscious, true, positive thoughts we need to diminish the power of negative thoughts by accepting their existence and chooseing not to act on them. If my experience is any indication, the negative thoughts don't go away, just lose more and more of their influence. Fighting against them, or trying to deny them, only gives them more power. With enough clarity we can create great wealth in our life by seeing more clearly. Think of a time when you had an "ah ha" moment. The wisdom of that moment was always a part of you. When that wisdom went from the unconscious to the conscious, you were gthen able to use that wisdom more effectively for your benefit. With that added clarity you create wealth. Wealth includes money, peace, friendships, relationships, health, self esteem and more. Accept your thoughts more fully and you'll be able to create all the wealth you want in your life. Uncovering a negative thought

For more than 50 years I've had a cough when I've denied negative thoughts. It first occured when I was a freshman in college. I coughed so much that I would repeatedly start to pass out from lack of oxygen. Only as I was falling to the ground and about to completely pass out, would my throat relax and allow me to inhale. Years later I discovered I could stop the spasmodic cough by acknowledging the otherwise denied negative thoughts. Recently, I've noticed a more frequent recurrance of the cough. In today's meditation I heard that the denied thought that was causing me to cough now is "This isn't working for you". Upon accepting the existence of that thought, I immediatley started having thoughts about why that thought was not true. It is true that I have unrealized potential. AND, my commitment to being ever more accepting and in alignment with what is true is effectively moving me forward. Whenever I accept a negative thought that was previously denied, I feel my body let go of tension I wasn't even aware existed. This is the case with accepting the thought "this isn't working for me". Why sometimes it seems impossible to do what we should do

Our behavior is controlled by our conscious and unconscious mind. When we can't seem to get ourselves to do what we want to do, it's because subconscious thoughts are stopping us. The solution is to move the thoughts from the subconscious to the conscious. Once the thought is in our conscious mind, we can choose to act on it or not. As long as it's in the subconcious mind, we don't have a choice to act on it or not. There are a number of ways to move the thought from the subconscious to the conscious. One is to listen closely to the thoughts in our mind. For me, I've had the thought that it's not safe for me to be myself despite the fact that being myself is the only thing that works. Since I've moved that thought into my conscious, I can choose not to act on it. You can do the same. Re igniting the spark

You can re ignite your spark anytime you want. Sit quiety amd ask for ideas to come into you mind that that are exciting and uplifting. Then act on those ideas. Make some goals you're enthusiastic about and take action. I want to make a huge contribution to the world. That's a gigantic goal. It inspires me to keep finding more and more ways to contribute value using my talents. I'm excited anytime I make progress. I'm temporarily depressed when things don't go as I hoped.
