Beskrivelse

00:00 Welcome back to the program on your Friday afternoon. Everybody looking forward to the weekend. I know I am. And it's, yeah, you're right, JJ. I forgot all about it. I don't know why it slipped my mind. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible. 00:29 with liberty and justice for all. 00:36 Oh 00:40 for amber waves of grain, for purple mountain majesties. 01:12 share his grace on thee. 01:25 America is back. Yes, sir. Well, the Democrats, they're kind of in a bit of a panic now and it's coming from a source that they didn't expect. You see, Joe Biden wrote this new memoir and this is another book that nobody's going to Nobody. Here's what's going to happen. 01:55 The Democrat Party, which by the way is broke, they are like $14 million in the hole. They have almost no cash on hand, but I digress. They're going to go in and they're going to buy all of these Jill Biden books and then they're going to take it to, it's going to be the top of the New York Times bestseller list or whatever. And they're going to be promoting this thing pretty heavily. So she was on with Rita Braver the other night and it was kind of interesting what Jill Biden said. 02:25 Let's take a listen to this because it's one of the things you go, did you really just say that? We all thought it, but here we go. Were you horrified as you saw it unfold? I wasn't horrified. I was frightened because I had never, ever seen Joe like that. The COVID, excuse me, dealing with everything we have to do with. 02:55 Look, if we finally beat Medicare. Thank you, President Biden. Before or since? Never. Or since? Yes. Or since? You've never seen anything Never. No. What happened? I don't know what happened. I mean, as I watched it, I thought, oh my God, he's having a stroke. And it scared me to death. It scared her so bad. It's, oh, this is I feel so sorry for. 03:25 It scared her so bad that she went on stage right after and she said this. then she was so, she was so concerned about her husband that she started a chant of four more years. 03:52 And then after that, did she take him to the hospital? Did you take him to go get medical care? Just to get checked out, make sure everything's okay? No, they went to Waffle House in Atlanta. They literally went and got him some scattered, smothered, and covered. Got one of those patty melts. She wasn't. So the Democrats are like, oh my, why did she come out? 04:22 What is the fraud here? It's absolutely fraud. 04:29 You did such a great job, you answered every question. So now, this is according to Dana Perino over at Fox News, so now we know that this is what she's saying in her book and the question I would love to ask her is, were you lying then or are you lying now? 04:48 That's Jill Biden after that debate. Was she lying then or she lying now? Did he do a great job or were you scared to death for him? Which one is it? So now the Democrats, so here's what the Democrats, they've got this and you probably heard this several times today, but they're gonna say, well, who are you gonna believe? 05:08 You're going to believe your own lying eyes. We saw the decline of Joe Biden. We saw it. We saw it constantly. I mean, what? How many times did he screw up? How many times did he mispronounce that? And I don't mean just mispronounce things. I'm talking about destroying the English language. 05:37 It really is amazing. Remember this? when Joe Biden said this? 05:44 America is a nation that can be defined in a single word. was gonna put him in, excuse me. Yeah, no, everything's fine with Joe. No, he's sharp as a tack. Absolutely sharp as a tack. But then after that debate, I mean, when you looked at, when you watched CNN after that debate, because I remember we were at, 06:09 Willie Taco, was us, Fourth District Republican Club, the Young Republicans, um all these groups out ...

episode H2: Charlie James covers Nardone's Senate appointment, GOP primary logistics, and final listener reflections on Graham. cover

H2: Charlie James covers Nardone's Senate appointment, GOP primary logistics, and final listener reflections on Graham.

During this second hour of The Charlie James Show, host Charlie James focuses on the immediate political aftermath and election logistics resulting from the passing of long-standing South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham. The broadcast begins with live audio from a press conference where Governor Henry McMaster delivers a eulogy and officially appoints Graham's sister, Darline Graham Nardone, as a caretaker senator. Charlie James strongly supports this choice, explaining that both the state and national GOP—along with Donald Trump—favored Nardone because her lack of intention to run in the upcoming special election ensures a "clean primary" with no temporary incumbent holding an unfair advantage. South Carolina GOP Chairman Drew McKissick dials in to outline the strict, fast-tracked election timeline, noting that candidate filing will open on July 21st, leading to a primary on August 11th and a potential runoff on August 25th. McKissick also clarifies that voters who participated in the June Democratic primary are legally barred from crossing over into this Republican special primary. Later in the hour, Representative Ralph Norman joins the program to share his personal memories of Graham's cross-aisle dealmaking ability, sense of humor, and dedicated constituent services, while also highlighting the economic growth coming to the state. Listeners also call in to share their reactions, with many expressing mixed feelings about Graham's legacy or noting the supreme irony of the August 11th vote date, which was originally blocked for redistricting by state politicians claiming it would be too expensive. Charlie James concludes the hour by thoroughly rejecting a campaign video released by Democratic nominee Dr. Annie Andrews, asserting that her radical left-wing platform represents values entirely opposite to those of South Carolina conservatives.

In this segment, host Charlie James interviews Drew McKissick, the Chairman of the South Carolina GOP, to discuss the political landscape following the unexpected death of Senator Lindsey Graham. McKissick outlines the strict, fast-tracked timeline for the special election, noting that candidate filing opens on July 21st and closes on July 28th, with the special primary set for August 11th and a potential runoff on August 25th. They also address the voting rules, with McKissick confirming that anyone who voted in the June Democratic primary will be legally barred from participating in this special Republican primary. McKissick notes that while a crowded primary could lead to a runoff, Donald Trump may issue a swift endorsement to help clear the field and save campaign resources for the general election against Democrat Annie Andrews.

In this opening segment of the second hour, host Charlie James broadcasts the live press conference of South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, who delivers a poignant eulogy for the late Senator Lindsey Graham before officially appointing Graham's sister, Darline Graham Nardone, to fulfill the remainder of his term. In her acceptance speech, Nardone touches on her brother's tireless work ethic, thanking the public for their overwhelming support and promising to carry on his legacy by supporting the President. Following the presser, Charlie James defends the appointment against early critics, explaining that both the state and national GOP—along with Donald Trump—favored Nardone as a caretaker because she has no intention of running in the upcoming August special election, thereby ensuring a "clean primary" where no candidate receives an unfair incumbency advantage.
