episode #92 - If No One Seeks God… Why Does God Hold Us Responsible? cover

Beskrivelse

Can God be completely sovereign and still hold people responsible for their choices? If no one naturally seeks God, why are people accountable for rejecting Him? In Part 3 of our series, George Binoka and Jeff Musgrave tackle one of theology's most difficult questions without getting lost in philosophical speculation. Instead, they stay anchored in Scripture. Together they explore: * Why this is a biblical tension—not a contradiction. * What Romans 10 teaches about faith, hearing, and the gospel. * The relationship between God's drawing and human responsibility. * Whether Christians really have "free will." * Why God's sovereignty should never make us passive in evangelism. * How abiding in Christ keeps us from both manipulation and apathy. This conversation doesn't pretend to remove every mystery. Instead, it provides a biblical framework that strengthens confidence in God, fuels evangelism, and encourages believers to faithfully participate in God's mission.

episode Was Jesus a Socialist? (part 12) cover

Was Jesus a Socialist? (part 12)

In this episode of Truthspresso I chat about Jesus and socialism. A coworker a while ago made the claim to me that Jesus was a socialist. I have certainly heard this claim before, but I figured I would address it. In part 12 we look at the account of Mary, sister of Martha, anointing Jesus with expensive perfume for His burial. Jesus' disciples murmured about the "waste," and Judas Iscariot suggested that it should have been sold and given to the poor. Jesus, knowing Judas was a thief, answered in a way that a politician might think was calloused and insensitive. Looking at recent arguments from politicians that sound like Judas' question, I observe what I term "Judas Iscariot socialists." The Judas question repeats itself in modern political posturing and virtue signaling. God's Calling for Employees & Employers (Ephesians 6:5-9)

God's Calling for Employees & Employers (Ephesians 6:5-9) 5 Bondservants,[a [https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians%206&version=ESV#fen-ESV-29326a]] obey your earthly masters[b [https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians%206&version=ESV#fen-ESV-29326b]] with fear and trembling, with a sincere heart, as you would Christ, 6 not by the way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, 7 rendering service with a good will as to the Lord and not to man, 8 knowing that whatever good anyone does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether he is a bondservant or is free. 9 Masters, do the same to them, and stop your threatening, knowing that he who is both their Master[c [https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ephesians%206&version=ESV#fen-ESV-29330c]] and yours is in heaven, and that there is no partiality with him.
