So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” (ESV) SUMMARY We sit with Jesus’ words to Nicodemus and let them challenge the idea that we can earn righteousness through effort. We pray for the Holy Spirit to move like the wind in our lives, bringing inner renewal, trust, and peace as we rest. • Nicodemus as a rule-keeper drawn to Jesus’ message  • Religiosity as an outside-in project that cannot remake the heart  • “You must be born again” as spiritual rebirth, not self-improvement  • The Holy Spirit compared to the wind we cannot control  • A simple invitation to ask for guidance, restoration, and salvation  • Trusting unseen spiritual work and praying for loved ones  I encourage you to pray often for God's spirit to blow in your life to guide you, to restore you, to bring you salvation if you've never experienced it. Send Carey a note (sorry, replies are not possible at this time) [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2561734/fan_mail/new] TONIGHT’S SCRIPTURE: John 5:24 [24] Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. (ESV) SUMMARY We slow down with Jesus’ words in John 5:24 and let “Truly, truly” pull our attention toward a promise strong enough to carry us into sleep. We reflect on eternal life, the end of judgment, and the cross so we can lay down tonight with gratitude and steady faith. • Jesus’ repeated “Truly, truly” as an invitation to pay attention  • Hearing Christ’s word as receiving His teaching about who He is  • Believing the Father who sent Jesus as the doorway to eternal life  • Eternal life as lasting fellowship with God that begins now  • Passing from death to life as a real spiritual change  • No judgment because Jesus takes it on the cross  • A closing prayer of thanks and a request for faith for tomorrow  Support the Evening Mindset: https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/EMSupport [https://morningmindsetmedia.com/EMSupport] Join over 16,000 daily listeners who enjoy the podcast that started it all… “The Morning Mindset”: https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/Morning-Mindset [https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/Morning-Mindset]

191-If the Spirit is in you… (Romans 8:9) || The Evening Mindset - Christian Bible Meditation and Bedtime Prayers

Send Carey a note (sorry, replies are not possible at this time) [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2561734/fan_mail/new] TONIGHT’S SCRIPTURE: Romans 8:9 [9] You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. (ESV) SUMMARY We linger over Romans 8:9 and let it redefine how we see ourselves when we feel pressured to rely on sheer effort. We remind ourselves that faith in Jesus means the Holy Spirit dwells in us, so tomorrow can be lived from Spirit power instead of the flesh. • reading Romans 8:9 as an identity statement • describing what it means to be in the Spirit • defining the flesh as independent self-reliance and human impulse • contrasting gritting your teeth with learning reliance step by step • bringing identity to the surface at decision moments • praying for a Spirit-set mind for tomorrow Support the Evening Mindset: https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/EMSupport [https://morningmindsetmedia.com/EMSupport] Join over 16,000 daily listeners who enjoy the podcast that started it all… “The Morning Mindset”: https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/Morning-Mindset [https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/Morning-Mindset]

190-Jesus’ intercedes for you (Hebrews 7:25) || The Evening Mindset - Christian Bible Meditation and Bedtime Prayers

Send Carey a note (sorry, replies are not possible at this time) [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2561734/fan_mail/new] TONIGHT’S SCRIPTURE: Hebrews 7:25 [25] Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. (ESV) SUMMARY We meditate on Hebrews 7:25 and the stunning promise that Jesus can save completely because he always lives to intercede for us. We end the day resting in the comfort that our advocate stands before the Father on our behalf, not because of our strength but because of his.   • reading Hebrews 7:25 as an evening mindset meditation   • unpacking “consequently” and why context matters   • Jesus as the great High Priest who never dies   • salvation “to the uttermost” and the reach of Christ’s intercession   • drawing near to God through faith in the cross   • choosing rest, humility, and confidence at bedtime   Support the Evening Mindset: https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/EMSupport [https://morningmindsetmedia.com/EMSupport] Join over 16,000 daily listeners who enjoy the podcast that started it all… “The Morning Mindset”: https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/Morning-Mindset [https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/Morning-Mindset]

Send Carey a note (sorry, replies are not possible at this time) [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2561734/fan_mail/new] TONIGHT’S SCRIPTURE: Psalm 37:18–19 [18] The LORD knows the days of the blameless, and their heritage will remain forever; [19] they are not put to shame in evil times; in the days of famine they have abundance. (ESV) SUMMARY We read Psalm 37:18–19 as an evening mindset meditation and sit with how God’s promises can feel confusing in real suffering. We reframe “not put to shame” and “abundance” through God’s long-term view, then pray for peace as we head into tomorrow. • reading Psalm 37:18–19 as a bedtime devotion  • questioning what it means to not be put to shame in evil times  • facing the reality of persecution and public humiliation  • redefining abundance as knowing God, not just having more  • taking an eternal perspective on heritage, legacy, and reputation  • praying for rest, peace, and trust ahead of tomorrow’s trials  Support the Evening Mindset: https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/EMSupport [https://morningmindsetmedia.com/EMSupport] Join over 16,000 daily listeners who enjoy the podcast that started it all… “The Morning Mindset”: https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/Morning-Mindset [https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/Morning-Mindset]

188-Things to forsake because of confidence in God (Psalm 37:8–9) || The Evening Mindset - Christian Bible Meditation and Bedtime Prayers

Send Carey a note (sorry, replies are not possible at this time) [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2561734/fan_mail/new] TONIGHT’S SCRIPTURE: Psalm 37:8–9 [8] Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. [9] For the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the LORD shall inherit the land. (ESV) SUMMARY We read Psalm 37:8–9 and face the hard command to refrain from anger even when evil feels personal and urgent. We talk about righteous anger, why fretting harms us, and how trusting God’s justice helps us rest tonight. • Psalm 37 as an evening mindset meditation  • righteous anger as a real response to evil  • the call to stifle anger and forsake wrath  • fretting as a pathway that tends toward harm  • trusting that God will cut off evildoers  • waiting for the Lord and trusting his timing  • inheriting what God has in store  • closing prayer to release control and sleep  Support the Evening Mindset: https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/EMSupport [https://morningmindsetmedia.com/EMSupport] Join over 16,000 daily listeners who enjoy the podcast that started it all… “The Morning Mindset”: https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/Morning-Mindset [https://MorningMindsetMedia.com/Morning-Mindset]
