Clara co-founded the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, and the Bells were pillars of the community. But after the family sold the home to William K. Nobel, its story took a chilling turn. For 93 years, the house served as the Klaehn Funeral Home, where it’s believed 300,000 to 500,000 bodies passed through its doors. Many say countless spirits linger there to this day — and some believe Robert and Clara Bell never left. Now a popular haunted venue, the mansion has become a hub for paranormal investigators and history buffs alike.
