Teams who, in their mind, started the season with championship aspirations (GSW/LAC)to teams to had very little day one support (CHA/PHX).... And these teams were all over the power rankings map all season long....it's not hard to be jumbled in the middle when the basement dwellers are so far below, and the actual championship contenders were so far ahead. . . 2026 NBA Finals Preview

The countdown to extinction is almost over, as the NBA season has FINALLY (literally) come to its endgame with a kinda sorta predictable NBA Finals match up, but one that the league has been waited many years to advertise. It will be the Alien himself (generational superstar Victor Wembenyama, fresh off of dethroning the defending champion Thunder) as he leads the San Antonio Spurs against a talented, efficient machine in Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby and the New York Knicks. Will we see a repeat of their last Finals showdown in 1999 and another monster Spur superstar will tower over all others, or will the Big Apple see their first NBA Championship since 1973? Does this Finals come down to the simple narrative of might over flight, or do the Knicks' surprisingly stout playoff defense have some tricks in store for Wemby and their physical guards? 2026 Conference Finals Preview

The NBA's version of the final four is all set and ready to roll it out to determine the Western and Eastern Conference Champions. While there are more have's than have not's in this second-to-last round of the NBA postseason, the four teams (or, at least, two of them) had their own share of adventures and volatility going into what might wind up being some highly competitive series. There is not a team in the league (no, not even the defending champions) playing better right now than Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns and the New York Knicks, but can a shockinlgy resilient Cleveland Cavaliers team led by Donovan 'Spider' Mitchell create a tangled web for the Knicks to have to swat their way out of? The Thunder have been equally dominant on both ends, not losing once in the first two rounds, but now they face the one team that was their bugaboo in the regular season: Victor Wembenyama and a young, spunky San Antonio Spurs team. Can the now twice-crowned MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander solve the Wemby puzzle to move on to the Finals? All this and much more! The Wiz Kids Are All Right

In a special episode, THE NBA-Team (Adam Murray and Andrew Riche) live-watch the Super Bowl of tanking NBA Teams: The 2026 NBA Draft Lottery in all of its potentially conspicuous glory! While the tin-foil hat wearers like Andrew had less to discuss this year than the previous two years (when teams outside of the top ten chances won the top pick), there are quite a few fireworks. With the Washington Wizards winning their first number one overall pick since John Wall in 2010, is it time to do the Dougie again and just pick Darryn Peterson now or will they play a game of chicken with A.J.
