episode Troubled Heart? — I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life cover

Beskrivelse

The disciples were troubled, confused, and fearful as Jesus prepared them for His departure. Their hearts were filled with questions: “Where is He going?” “How can we follow?” Christ answered their troubled hearts by pointing them to Himself. In John 14:6, Jesus declared one of the greatest truths ever spoken: “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” This message explores the claim of Jesus Christ as the only way to God, the only true source of truth, and the only giver of eternal life. In a world filled with confusion, empty religion, and troubled hearts, Christ alone is the answer. If your heart is restless, fearful, or searching for direction, look to Jesus Christ. 📖 John 14:6 This message is part of a series on the “I AM” statements of Christ. New messages are published weekly through The Pulpit Ministry. Follow to stay rooted in clear, Bible preaching.

episode America Needs Preachers cover

America Needs Preachers

America is not ultimately in need of better politics, more programs, or greater entertainment. America needs preachers. In this episode of The Pulpit Ministry, we examine the biblical necessity of God-called preaching from Romans 10:14-15. What is a preacher? Why does God still use preaching to reach the lost? What qualifications and responsibilities does Scripture place upon those who stand behind the pulpit? We will consider: • Why preachers must preach Christ above all else • The necessity of a divine call and sending • The importance of sound doctrine and biblical training • The responsibility to declare the whole counsel of God • The fervency and boldness that should characterize biblical preaching From Elijah to John the Baptist, from Jeremiah to the Apostle Paul, God has always used faithful men to proclaim His truth. May God raise up a new generation of preachers who will speak with certainty, clarity, and urgency in these challenging days. Scripture: Romans 10:14-15

episode What Makes Giving Better Than Receiving? cover

What Makes Giving Better Than Receiving?

From Acts 20:35, we explore the words of the Lord Jesus: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” What does Biblical giving really look like? As Paul prepared to depart from the Ephesian elders, he reminded them to watch over the flock, stand upon God’s Word, support the weak, and live lives marked by Gospel compassion. This message explores: • Why giving is more than money • How the Gospel and compassion work together • Why Christians should labor honestly and generously • What it means to support the weak • How giving becomes a way of life for the believer A healthy church is not built merely on activity or noise, but on truth, compassion, generosity, and mutual care. Scriptures include: Acts 20 Matthew 9:36 Find one person. Meet one need. Give something they cannot repay. All in the name of Jesus Christ and for His glory.

episode He Gave Him Tithes of All | Genesis 14:20 | Honoring the Most High God cover

He Gave Him Tithes of All | Genesis 14:20 | Honoring the Most High God

Why did Abram give tithes after the battle? In this message from Genesis 14, we examine Abram’s encounter with Melchizedek, the king of Salem, and the powerful truth behind the first recorded tithe in Scripture. Long before the Law of Moses, Abram honored the LORD because he recognized that the victory had come from God. This message explores: • Why tithing begins with God, not money • The difference between honoring God and serving gain • What Abram’s refusal of Sodom reveals about the heart • How our treasure reveals what is “most high” in our lives Tithing is not about God needing our money. It is about honoring the Most High God who gives the victory, provides daily grace, and is worthy of our worship. Scriptures include: Genesis 14 Matthew 6:21

episode The Greatest Giver | Genesis 1:29 | Giving begins with God cover

The Greatest Giver | Genesis 1:29 | Giving begins with God

In this opening message of a new series on Biblical giving, we discover that giving does not begin with money but with God Himself. One of the first recorded words spoken by God to man was not a commandment, but a declaration: “I have given you…” Before man ever worked, earned, or deserved anything, God had already provided everything he needed. From Creation to redemption, the Bible reveals our Lord as the Great Giver. In this message from Genesis 1:29, we explore: • How every good gift comes from above • Why salvation itself is the gift of God • What it means to give because He first gave • How God’s generosity should shape the Christian life This sermon lays the foundation for a four-part series on giving by showing that true Biblical giving does not begin with obligation — it begins with worship, gratitude, and the character of God. Scriptures referenced include: Genesis 1:29 James 1:17 John 3:16 Acts 20:35 Psalm 145:16 Revelation 22:17 The Pulpit Ministry is the preaching ministry of Friendship Baptist Church in Stanfield, North Carolina. Bible Truth. Changed Lives. God Glorified.
