Episode 5 - Jamie Cooper Dr. Jamie Cooper, was born in Birkenhead and raised in Wallasey and is now based in Miami, Florida. He completed a PhD in Cancer Biology and currently works as a postdoctoral researcher at The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis at the University of Miami. His research focuses on harnessing the therapeutic potential of small extracellular vesicles, tiny packages released by cells that can be used as vehicles to deliver valuable therapeutic cargo for protecting and repairing the nervous system after spinal cord injury. In this episode, Jamie speaks about how he went from being a naughty school kid to a postdoc researcher in Miami. He wants to show other young people from similar backgrounds that they can achieve anything they put their mind to! @jamiecooper8

She holds a Biological Sciences degree from the University of Oxford, where she specialised in biochemistry and molecular biology, and previously held the role of Senior Science Reporter at Newsweek. Pandora is passionate about overcoming stereotypes about what it means to be a scientist as well as advocating for unconventional careers in STEM. In this episode, Pandora talks about how she switched her degree course after one year at Oxford and was so glad she did!
