Did you know that suicide is the second leading cause of death in Black children aged 10-14, and the third leading cause of death in Black adolescents aged 15-19? In this episode, Crystal Winfield-Edwards, LCSW, helps us navigate the nuanced topic of mental health in Black youth. Here to educate and walk us through this discussion is Monika Johnson-Hostler, Executive Director of the North Carolina Coalition Against Sexual Assault (NCCASA). Villagers, let's get educated so that we can be the change we want to see. Our girls deserve more! See you on the front porch!
