Beskrivelse

Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly. Today we’re in Galatians 6:9, and this episode is all about not growing weary in doing what is right. Scripture tells us not to lose heart, not to faint, and not to give up, because in due season we will reap a harvest if we keep going. That is such a powerful reminder for anyone who feels tired, overlooked, or worn down in the middle of doing the right thing. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly talk about how easy it is to get weary in relationships, at work, in marriage, in parenting, or just in life. You keep being kind. You keep giving grace. You keep showing up. You keep doing what is honorable and loving, but it can feel like nothing is changing. This message reminds us that just because the harvest has not shown up yet does not mean it is not coming. Like a farmer, you keep sowing, keep tending, and keep trusting the process. This episode also highlights something so important. Do not let other people change who you are. Just because someone is harsh does not mean you become harsh. Just because someone is unfair does not mean you stop being excellent. Just because someone is difficult does not mean you stop being loving. If your character changes every time your environment changes, then your identity is still too connected to people instead of to God. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly also talk about the real battle being inside of us. So often the fight is not really with other people. The fight is with our own reactions, emotions, and impulses. David did this in the Psalms. He talked to himself. He corrected his own soul. He reminded himself of truth. Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is fight yourself and choose to keep doing right even when it is hard. You can do hard things. Keep being kind. Keep being faithful. Keep doing what is right. In due season, the harvest will come. Partner with us at wakeuptv.tv Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe. episode Prayer, Petition, and Peace cover

Prayer, Petition, and Peace

Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly. Today we’re in Philippians 4:6, and this episode is all about not living stressed, anxious, and overwhelmed when God has already given you a better way. The Bible says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” That is such a powerful promise because it leaves no wiggle room for fear to stay in charge. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly talk about how strong and absolute the language is in this verse. Anything means anything. Every situation means every situation. We do not get to say, “Well, this one is different.” God already knew how real life would feel when He gave us this instruction. The answer is not pretending the problem does not exist. The answer is taking the actual problem to God with prayer, petition, and thanksgiving. This message also brings out the difference between prayer and petition. Prayer is the general act of talking with God. Petition is specifically bringing your need or request before Him. In other words, God is not asking you to hide the burden. He is asking you to hand it over. And when you do that with gratitude, something happens. His peace guards your heart and mind in a way that does not even make sense to the natural mind. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly also remind us that Paul wrote these words while facing much greater pressure than most of us will ever know. He had real reasons to be stressed, yet he chose to give everything to God. That makes this instruction even more powerful. If Paul could live this way in the middle of his battles, then we can trust God with our own situations too. If something has been trying to weigh you down, hand it over today. Do not carry what God is asking you to give to Him. Pray, petition, thank Him, and let His peace step in. Partner with us at wakeuptv.tv Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe. episode Seeing Jesus From Every Angle cover

Seeing Jesus From Every Angle

Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason. Today’s episode answers a great question: why is the story of Jesus told four different times in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John? Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason explain that the Gospel is told four times because each book gives us a different picture of who Jesus is. You are not just seeing repetition. You are seeing different angles, different emphasis, and different revelation of the same Savior. Just like one story can be told from different perspectives, the four Gospels help paint a fuller picture of Christ. One highlights His kingship. Another emphasizes His humanity. Another shows His servant heart. Another reveals His divinity. Together, they give us a richer, deeper understanding of who Jesus really is. They also point out that the story of Christ is not only in the four Gospels. You can actually see Jesus all throughout the Bible. His story is woven into the lives of David, Samson, the Exodus, and so many other places. The whole Bible is constantly pointing us back to Him. This episode is a great reminder that God did not give us a flat, one-dimensional picture of Jesus. He gave us a full and powerful revelation of His Son from multiple angles so we could know Him more deeply and see His nature more clearly. episode His Grace Is Sufficient for You cover

His Grace Is Sufficient for You

Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly. Today we’re in 2 Corinthians 12:9, where the Bible says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” This episode is all about weakness, grace, and the surprising truth that the areas where you feel least capable may be the very places where God wants to show Himself strongest. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly talk about how easy it is to focus on what we are not good at. Maybe you feel weak in relationships, overwhelmed in life, unsure of yourself, or frustrated by an area where you just do not seem naturally strong. But Paul flips the whole idea around. Instead of being discouraged by weakness, he says he will gladly boast in it, because that is where Christ’s power rests on him. This message is such a strong reminder that God’s grace is not just for emergencies or major failures. His grace is what empowers you in the middle of ordinary life too. When you feel overwhelmed, stretched, or out of your depth, that is not proof that you are done. It may actually be the moment where you stop relying on your own strength and start leaning into His. His grace is enough. His strength is enough. His help is enough. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly also bring out something really powerful about humility. There is strength in being able to admit weakness, apologize when needed, and let go of the pressure to be everything in your own ability. In God’s kingdom, there is a kind of upside-down power. When you stop trying to hold yourself up as strong in every area, you make room for God to be the hero in that place. If you feel weak today, do not be discouraged. God is not limited by the places where you are not enough. In fact, those may be the exact places where His grace and power are about to shine the brightest. episode Love Is More Than a Feeling cover

Love Is More Than a Feeling

Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly. Today we’re in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, and this episode is all about what love really looks like. In a world that constantly redefines love as a feeling, a mood, or a moment, Scripture gives us something much stronger. Love is patient. Love is kind. Love is not self-seeking. Love is not easily angered. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. And this kind of love never fails. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly talk about how many people get into relationships expecting love to feel like a fairy tale, and when the feeling fades or life gets hard, they think the love is gone. But biblical love is not first a feeling. It is an action. It is what you do. It is how you treat people. It is the way you choose patience, kindness, grace, and perseverance even when things are not easy. This message also brings a really healthy balance. Love does not mean being a doormat or staying in a toxic cycle without wisdom. Boundaries matter. Some people you love closely, and some people you love from farther away. But no matter what boundary is needed, the goal is that they do not change who you are. You can still walk in kindness, forgiveness, grace, and love without allowing unhealthy behavior to control your peace. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly also talk about perseverance in the most important relationships of life. Strong marriages, deep friendships, and healthy family relationships are not built by quitting the moment something gets hard. They are often built by continuing to pray, continuing to love, continuing to forgive, and continuing to fight for what is precious. Sometimes a relationship that has gone through something painful can come back stronger than before when love, grace, and perseverance stay in the picture. If you want a great life, learn to walk in real love. Not just a feeling. Not just a moment. But the kind of love that acts, gives grace, protects, perseveres, and does not quit. episode How to Take Back Control of Your Thoughts cover

How to Take Back Control of Your Thoughts

Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly. Today we’re in Philippians 4:8, and this episode is all about taking control of your thought life. The Bible tells us to think on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy. That is such a powerful instruction because your emotions always follow your thoughts. If your thinking goes hopeless, negative, and dark, your emotions will follow it there. But when your thoughts shift, everything begins to shift. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly talk about how easy it is to let one wrong thought take over. Somebody is rude, something frustrating happens, or life throws something hard at you, and before long your mind is traveling down a road that steals your peace, your power, and your time. But this message is a strong reminder that you do not have to follow every thought that shows up. You have the power to stop it, redirect it, and choose something better. This episode also makes a really important point. Choosing better thoughts is not denial. It is strength. It is not pretending that people are never hurtful or that life is never frustrating. It is deciding that you are not going to let those things control your inner world. You can set a boundary, walk away, and still think on what is right, pure, and praiseworthy. That is how you stay in control instead of letting negativity take over. Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly also point out that there is real power in silence and restraint. Sometimes the strongest response is not arguing back. It is refusing to join the negativity at all. When you choose not to meditate on the wrong, you take back your peace. You take back your focus. You take back your day. If you want a better emotional life, a stronger mind, and a more peaceful day, start by protecting what you meditate on. Think on the good. Think on the pure. Think on what God says. Your thoughts matter more than you know. Partner with us at wakeuptv.tv Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe.
