Beskrivelse

June 6th is a day of remembrance of the thousands of soldiers who laid down their lives, as we mark the 82nd anniversary of D-Day. Historical experts say the largest amphibious assault in military history marked a major turning point in World War II. Oakland University History Professor Karen Miller's father was one of the soldiers, serving at only 19 years old. She spoke live with WWJ's Chris Keyzer. (Photo Credit: Kiran Ridley / Stringer).
