Personal Information

Don’t post any content which shares personally identifiable information about yourself or your family, such as your address, phone number, location, your financial information, date of birth, medical records, driver’s licence or passport details or your social security number. Keep in mind that comments may be shared by other users or podcasters outside the platform.

Sensitive content

Minors

• We reserve the right to disable comments for podcasts aimed at minors.

• Don’t post content if it fits any of the descriptions below.

  • Sexualization of minors:

    Sexually explicit content featuring minors and content that sexually exploits minors.

  • Harmful or dangerous acts involving minors:

    • Content discussing or depicting a minor participating in dangerous activities or encouraging minors to do dangerous activities, particularly if someone could imitate the dangerous act or if the content encourages or praises the dangerous act.

    • Content inflicting or advocating for the infliction of physical, sexual or emotional maltreatment or neglect of a child, including inflicting emotional distress on minors.

  • Misleading family content:

    Content that targets young minors and families, but contains sexual themes, violence, obscenity, medical procedures, self harm, use of adult horror characters, other inappropriate themes intended to shock young audiences.

  • Cyberbullying involving minors: Content that:

    • Intends to shame, deceive or insult a minor

    • Reveals personal information like email addresses or bank account numbers

    • Contains sexualisation

    • Encourages others to bully or harass

  • Vulgar language in content aimed at children:

    • Use of sexually explicit language or narratives

    • Use of excessive profanity in the content

    • Use of heavy profanity or sexually suggestive terms in the content’s title or description

    • Use of excessive sexual sounds

Suicide, self-harm and eating disorders

• Don’t post content if it fits any of the descriptions below:

  • Content promoting or glorifying suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders

  • Instructions on how to die by suicide, engage in self-harm, or engage in eating disorders (including how to conceal them)

  • Content related to suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders that is targeted at minors

  • Content discussing participation in or instructions for suicide and self-harm challenges

  • Suicide notes or letters without sufficient context

  • Content that features weight-based bullying in the context of eating disorders

Nudity and Sexual Content

• Don’t post visual, text or audio content, as applicable, if it shows:

  • The depiction of clothed or unclothed genitals, breasts, or buttocks that are meant for sexual gratification.

  • Pornography, the depiction of sexual acts, or fetishes that are meant for sexual gratification.

Violent or dangerous content

Hate speech

• We don’t allow content that promotes violence or hatred against individuals or groups based on any of the following attributes:

  • Age

  • Caste

  • Disability

  • Ethnicity

  • Gender Identity and Expression

  • Nationality

  • Neurodivergence

  • Race

  • Immigration Status

  • Religion

  • Sex/Gender

  • Sexual Orientation

  • Victims of a major violent event and their kind

Inciting violence

• We do not allow content that incites others to commit violent acts against individuals, a defined group of people, or animals.

Harassment and cyberbullying

• We don’t allow content that targets someone with prolonged insults or slurs based on their physical traits or protected group status, like age, disability, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or race. We also don’t allow other harmful behaviours, like threats or doxxing.

• Examples of content we do not allow:

  • Content that shares, threatens to share, or encourages others to share non-public personally identifiable information, such as an individual’s physical or email address, location or financial information.

  • Content that encourages abusive behaviour against an identifiable individual or group.

  • Content that promotes harmful conspiracy theories or that targets someone by claiming they’re a part of a harmful conspiracy theory. A harmful conspiracy theory is one that has been linked to direct threats or violent acts.

  • Content revelling in or mocking the death or serious injury of an identifiable individual.

  • Content that contains stalking of an identifiable individual.

  • Content that denies or minimises someone’s role as a victim of a well-documented, major violent event.

  • Content that contains unwanted sexualisation of an identifiable individual. This includes:

    • Content that describes or depicts someone in a lewd, degrading, and sexually explicit manner

    • Content that shares or encourages the distribution of non-consensual intimate imagery

    • Content that fantasises about, threatens, or supports sexual assault.

Harmful or dangerous content

• Content that encourages dangerous or illegal activities that risk serious physical harm or death is not allowed. Some examples of content under this category which is not allowed are as follows:

  • Harmful or dangerous acts

    • Harmful or dangerous acts

      : Instructions for the performance of acts that have a risk of serious harm or death.

  • Weapons content

    • Instructions to kill or harm

      : Instructions that tell viewers how to perform activities that are meant to kill or severely harm others.

    • Explosives

      : Giving instructions to make explosive devices or compounds meant to injure or kill others.

  • Digital security content

    • Instructional theft

      : Instructions posted with the express intent of teaching others how to steal physical goods or get something for free.

    • Hacking

      : Describing how to use computers or information technology with the intent to steal credentials, compromise personal data, or cause serious harm to others.

    • Bypassing payment for digital content or services

      : ****Content that instructs viewers on getting unauthorised access to content, software, or services that usually require payment.

    • Phishing

      : Content that tries to get or gives instructions for how to get nonpublic personal identifying information from viewers by deceiving them, including cryptophishing.

Illegal or regulated goods or services

• Content which aims to directly sell, link to, or facilitate access to any of the regulated goods and services listed below is not allowed. Making the sale of these items or facilitating the use of these services possible by posting links, email, phone number or other means to contact a seller directly is not allowed.

  • Alcohol

  • Bank account passwords, stolen credit cards, or other financial information

  • Counterfeit documents or currency

  • Controlled narcotics and other drugs

  • Explosives

  • Organs

  • Endangered species or parts of endangered species

  • Firearms and firearms accessories

  • Financial and medical advice

  • Nicotine, including vaping products

  • Online gambling sites

  • Pharmaceuticals without a prescription

  • Sex or escort services

  • Unlicensed medical services

  • Human smuggling

• Instructions for performing academic cheating is also not allowed.

Violent extremist or criminal organisations

• Content intended to praise, promote, or aid violent extremist or criminal organisations is not allowed. These organisations are not allowed to use Podimo for any purpose, including recruitment.

• Don’t post content if it fits any of the descriptions noted below.

  • Content produced by violent extremist, criminal, or terrorist organisations

  • Content praising or memorialising prominent terrorist, extremist, or criminal figures in order to encourage others to carry out acts of violence

  • Content praising or justifying violent acts carried out by violent extremist, criminal, or terrorist organisations

  • Content aimed at recruiting new members to violent extremist, criminal, or terrorist organisations

  • Content posted with the intent to solicit, threaten, or intimidate on behalf of a criminal, extremist, or terrorist organisation

  • Content that glorifies or promotes violent tragedies, such as school shootings

Misinformation

• Certain types of misleading or deceptive content with serious risk of egregious harm are not allowed. This includes certain types of misinformation that can cause real-world harm, certain types of technically manipulated content, or content interfering with democratic processes.

  • Suppression of election or census participation:

    Content aiming to mislead election or census participants about the time, place, means, or eligibility requirements of the election or census, or false claims that could materially discourage participation.

  • Manipulated content:

    Content that has been technically manipulated or doctored in a way that misleads users and may pose a serious risk of egregious harm.

  • Misattributed content:

    Content that may pose a serious risk of egregious harm by falsely claiming that old footage from a past event is from a current event.

  • Deceptive content, including impersonation:

    Content aimed at intentionally deceiving or misleading others by impersonating another private individual, company representative, public figure, or authority figure in a manner that could cause harm, manipulate trust, or spread misinformation.

Spam and scams

Don’t post content if it fits any of the descriptions noted below.

• Comments Spam

  Comments where the sole purpose is to gather personal info from viewers, misleadingly drive viewers off Podimo, or sends audiences to sites that spread harmful software, try to gather personal info, or other sites that have a negative impact.

• Repetitive comments

  Leaving large amounts of identical, untargeted or repetitive comments.

• Scams

  Content offering cash gifts, “get rich quick” schemes, or pyramid schemes (sending money without a tangible product in a pyramid structure).
