Kuvaus

Europe is experiencing a deadly heatwave with France recording its hottest day ever at 44 degrees Celsius on the west coast, while parts of Spain also reach 44 degrees and Italy declares a red alert. Paris and half of France are under red heatwave warnings, with the Eiffel Tower closing to tourists and approximately 40 drowning deaths reported since last week. Railway tracks are warping in Switzerland, emergency meetings have been convened, and fires are breaking out as the extreme temperatures create drought conditions across mainland Europe.
