Before anything… this video wasn’t recorded when you’re watching it. I’m currently writing exams, so please say a word of prayer for me because I need it like mad. In this episode, I dive into something I’ve talked about before, but this time… it’s personal. I asked my roommates what I should talk about, and friendship came up and while I’ve shared my thoughts in Girl Friendships: A Whole Lot, this episode is different. This time, I’m talking about real experiences… the ones that actually hurt. From moments where I felt dismissed, to situations where I had to question what friendship really means, to learning the hard way that you can’t expect people to be you, I unpack it all. I talk about the difference between friends and acquaintances, the importance (and difficulty) of communication, reciprocity, and knowing when to let go especially when you’re holding on to who someone used to be. There’s also a bit of chaos, growth, self-reflection, and accountability, because I’m not perfect either. At the end of it all, this episode is about what friendship should feel like peace, love, understanding, and honesty and the kind of friend we should all strive to be. And again… please don’t forget to say a prayer for me.

Not Every Promise Is a Contract II: What Makes a Contract Valid?

In this second part of our Contract Law series, I start by breaking down one question many people get wrong: what exactly is the difference between a tort and a contract? From there, I dive into the essentials of a valid contract, explaining the key ingredients that must be present before an agreement can become legally enforceable. We explore offer and acceptance, consideration, intention to create legal relations, capacity, legality, and the other elements that determine whether the law will recognize and enforce an agreement. Whether you're a law student, preparing for exams, or simply curious about how everyday agreements work, this episode simplifies the foundations of Contract Law using practical examples and straightforward explanations.

Just us girls

Welcome to the girls’ emergency meeting. In this episode, we’re having an honest girls’ talk about the little things nobody really teaches us about womanhood, feminine hygiene, period care and self-care. From pads, tampons and menstrual cups to shaving before your period, peeing after sex, cotton underwear, skincare breaks, breast checks, period cramps, heating pads, vaginal/vulva care and the tiny habits that make life easier we’re talking about it all. We’re also discussing things we learned late, random hygiene tips that actually help, listening to your body, and why your vagina is not supposed to smell like roses. If you love honest conversations about girlhood, women’s health, hygiene, self-care and all the unspoken things girls should know, this episode is for you.

A Country That Keeps Failing Its People

In this episode, I talk about a tragic story that has been sitting heavily on my mind, a secondary school student who reportedly lost his life after falling into a reservoir while trying to fetch water. It made me reflect on the state of things around us, the realities many people are forced to live with, and how normalized suffering has become in this country. At some point, “May Nigeria not happen to me” stopped sounding like a joke and started sounding like a genuine prayer. I also talk about exams, the stress that comes with lecturers saying one thing and setting another, and the mental exhaustion that follows trying to stay prepared for the unexpected. And finally, I ask for your prayers for me, my friends, and my course mates as we continue writing our exams.
