Psalms 87:1-7 - God loves the foundations of Zion more than any other dwelling place. - Glorious things are spoken of the city where people from many nations are born as citizens. Luke 22:54 - The arresting party seizes Jesus and brings him to the high priest's house. - Peter follows from a distance and enters the courtyard. Luke 22:63-65 - The guards mock and beat Jesus while blindfolding him and demanding he prophesy. - They heap insults upon him as they hold him in custody. John 18:24 - Annas sends the bound Jesus to Caiaphas the high priest. - Jesus is transferred for further questioning before the council. Matthew 26:58 - Peter follows Jesus from afar to the high priest's courtyard. - He sits with the servants to see the outcome of the trial. Matthew 26:69-75 - Peter denies knowing Jesus three times as servants accuse him by the fire. - He remembers Jesus' words, goes out, and weeps bitterly. Mark 14:66-72 - A servant girl and bystanders confront Peter in the courtyard about knowing Jesus. - Peter denies him three times with curses and oaths before the rooster crows.

This is part of a year long reading of the Bible chronologically in a harmonized format. 1 Chronicles 16:1-43 - David places the ark in the tent, offers sacrifices, and appoints Levites to minister with music and praise. - He delivers a psalm of thanksgiving to the Lord and appoints Asaph and others for ongoing worship. John 20:1-10 - Mary Magdalene finds the empty tomb early and runs to tell Peter and the beloved disciple. - They race to the tomb, see the linen cloths, and the beloved disciple believes while they return home. Mark 16:9-11 - Jesus appears first to Mary Magdalene after rising and she reports to the mourning disciples. - They refuse to believe her report of seeing him alive. John 20:11-18 - Mary weeps at the tomb, sees two angels then Jesus whom she mistakes for the gardener. - Jesus calls her name, reveals himself, and sends her to tell the disciples he is ascending. Matthew 28:9-15 - The risen Jesus meets the women who worship him and instructs them to tell the brothers to go to Galilee. - Chief priests bribe soldiers to spread the false story that disciples stole the body while they slept. Mark 16:12-13 - Jesus appears in a different form to two disciples walking in the country. - They report back but the others still do not believe.

Psalms 107:1-43 - The psalmist calls the redeemed to thank God for His steadfast love and deliverance from distress. - It recounts four examples of God's rescue from wandering, imprisonment, sickness, and storms. 2 Samuel 5:11 - 6:23 - Hiram of Tyre sends cedar and craftsmen to build David a palace in Jerusalem. - David brings the ark to Jerusalem with rejoicing but Michal despises his dancing before the Lord. Matthew 27:61-66 - Mary Magdalene and the other Mary sit opposite the tomb watching after burial. - Chief priests and Pharisees secure the tomb with a seal and guard to prevent theft of the body. Luke 23:55-56 - The women from Galilee follow Joseph to the tomb and see where Jesus is laid. - They prepare spices and ointments then rest on the Sabbath according to the commandment. Mark 15:47 - Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses observe where Jesus is laid. - The women note the location of the tomb carefully. Matthew 28:1-10 - Mary Magdalene and the other Mary go to the tomb at dawn and witness an angel roll away the stone. - The angel announces Jesus' resurrection and they meet the risen Jesus who sends them to tell the disciples.
