Pentecost fulfills prophecy and reveals a mystery. The Church was an unknown thing prior to Pentecost, as the Jews as a nation had rejected their Messiah a new group took the stage. Not as the new main character, but as a significant subplot to advance the story and in doing so more fully reveal the Glory of God through His grace and mercy.
