Kuvaus

Today is a very special episode because we have our first ever guests joining us! Parker Martin and Kylan Merrill (AKA, the Gay Correspondents of CMWTK) are here to talk about Brokeback Mountain, the "gay cowboy movie" that did what very few queer movies had ever done before it: enter the mainstream. This was the first time either Sydney or I had ever seen the movie, and we were blown away by how much more there was to it than "gay cowboys." We're so grateful for Parker and Kylan for being willing to share their insights, and for indulging us in what is becoming a CMWTK staple: a game of Kiss/Marry/Kill. Since this was our first time having guests, we did experience a few technical difficulties, so the audio might not sound as good as it usually does. Thank you for listening anyway and we hope you enjoy the episode! Join us next week for our review of Season 1 of Off Campus, now streaming on Amazon Prime!

Love Island Movie Night, Normal People, Elle & Ali Hazelwood Adaptations | Romance TV & Movies

This week’s episode is a little different! Due to some technical difficulties, the second half of our original episode (you know…the part where we actually talked about the movie we watched…) didn’t save, so we’re switching things up with a “what we’ve been watching lately — romance edition”, instead of our usual movie review. Love Island is still consuming our every waking thought, and we HAVE to talk about the Love Island USA Season 8 Movie Night. Then we share our thoughts on the shows we’ve been watching lately, including Normal People (2020) and the newly released Legally Blonde prequel series, Elle (2026). We also chat about the newly released trailer for The Love Hypothesis, starring Lili Reinhart and Tom Bateman, and celebrate the exciting news that Ali Hazelwood’s Love, Theoretically is officially getting its own adaptation. While it isn’t our typical episode, we hope you’ll enjoy catching up with us on all the latest romance TV, movie, and adaptation news. And if you were looking forward to hearing our thoughts on What a Girl Wants (2003), be sure to head over to our Instagram and check out Isa’s review! If you enjoy our podcast, don’t forget to follow us and leave us a 5-star review <3 Xoxo, CMWTK Tune in next week for our review on 40 Dates and 40 Nights, a brand new rom-com. If you prefer your love stories to have a side of historical fiction, adventure, and gut-wrenching life-or-death moments, Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid will be more your speed. This might be the most we’ve ever disagreed on anything we’ve watched or read... Thanks for listening, and let us know what books you'd like us to review next! Voicemails for Isabelle | Maybe RomComs Really Are So Back

Welcome back to Call Me When They Kiss!Today we reviewed another Netflix Original, which as we all know, could be very hit or miss. We were certainly apprehensive after Office Romance. We went into Voicemails for Isabelle with medium expectations, and were pleasantly surprised by how much we loved it! This RomCom had heart, humor, and a hot, steamy make-out -- a simple formula that for some reason, has been hard for writers to nail lately! Before we dive into the movie, we briefly discuss the Icebreaker announcement -- another hockey romance that has been picked up by Netflix for an adaptation. We also share a couple Love Island thoughts and opinions. If you're watching Love Island too, let us know in the comments if you love Brinity as much as we do. 3Thank you for listening! If you enjoy the episode, please leave us a 5-star rating and a review. :)
