This lecture presents economics as inherently religious, showing that humanism begins in Genesis 3:5 with man’s desire to be his own god and expresses itself today through fiat law, fiat money, and fiat economics, all of which create inflation, disorder, and false wealth. In contrast, biblical economics flows from the dominion mandate of Genesis 1:26–28 and rests on four foundations: faithful obedience and godly character, knowledge as an aspect of the image of God, productive labor as a blessing rather than a curse, and capital built through patience, saving, and intergenerational stewardship. Economic decline follows when faith collapses, envy replaces discipline, and productivity is destroyed, while humanistic systems substitute political power and “works of law” for real work, producing unemployment and social decay and demanding state control of education and knowledge.
