Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see (Hebrews 11:1, NIV)

Repentance: The Last Adam

So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. (1 Corinthians 15:45, NIV) For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. (1 Corinthians 15:22, NIV)

Repentance creates radical change

Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. (Hebrews 5: 13-14, NIV)

Repentance: My way or God’s way?

Naaman already had a script in his mind for how God would heal him of his leprosy. But to receive God’s help, we must lay aside our own expectations, opinions, and preconceived ideas.
