Many people don’t realize that zinc is vital to allow vitamin D to work in the body. If you’re deficient in zinc, the vitamin D receptor won’t accept vitamin D. On the flip side, vitamin D allows zinc to be transported through the body. Symptoms of zinc deficiency: • Loss of taste or smell • Low testosterone • Diarrhea • Alopecia • Inflammatory skin problems • Vision problems • Ulcers • Inflammation • Poor immunity • Thymus atrophy Foods rich in zinc: • Oysters • Lobster • Shrimp • Liver • Red meat Causes of a zinc deficiency: • Not consuming foods high in zinc • Consuming phytates (in grains and legumes) • Pregnancy • Sickle cell anemia When using high doses of vitamin D, always check with your doctor. High doses of vitamin D can increase blood/urine calcium levels resulting in calcium deposits in the kidney. Also drink 2.5 liters of fluids per day, take cofactors with vitamin D (magnesium, K2 and zinc) and have your doctor monitor your PTH, vitamin D blood levels and creatinine and avoid excess calcium supplements of high calcium foods when taking vitamin D levels over 10,000 IUs. Gluten Free Exposed: The Shocking Reality

Are gluten-free foods healthy? A “gluten-free” label often seems healthier, but is it? In this video, we’ll discuss some of the common myths about gluten-free products and uncover the truth about gluten-free foods. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) [https://open.spotify.com/episode/4oKZ046rIAE3zwxDb06ZaO] Just so you know, my full line of high-quality supplements is available on Amazon — search Dr. Berg Supplements. 0:00 Introduction: Is “gluten-free” healthy? 0:21 Why gluten-free isn’t always healthy! 1:05 Unhealthy gluten-free foods 2:17 Processed gluten-free foods 3:28 Hidden dangers of gluten-free products 6:00 Choosing gluten-free foods DATA: https://www.cornucopia.org/hexane-guides/hexane_guide_bars.html Gluten is the only protein that humans can not digest. Over the years, we’ve added more and more gluten to the diet, which has increased gut inflammation. Just because a food is gluten-free does not make it healthy! Processed gluten-free foods are loaded with seed oils, sugars, and starches. Gluten can destroy the gut, but so can refined starches and sugars. Good bacteria prefer fiber, but bad bacteria thrive on sugar and starches. Consuming processed gluten-free foods can create an overgrowth of harmful bacteria. When bad bacteria breaks down and dies, it releases a toxic byproduct that can lead to inflammation in the liver, a fatty liver, and skin issues like dermatitis. Chemicals, enzymes, and acids are used to remove the gluten from the grain in processed gluten-free foods, creating a more highly refined product. Gluten-free foods are low in protein, which can lead to over-eating. They can also cause SIBO, inflammation, and leaky gut. Gut health directly contributes to your mental health, so this can lead to moodiness, lowered emotions, anxiety, and depression. Read the ingredients in gluten-free products or focus on consuming whole foods like meat and vegetables. If the fiber from vegetables makes things worse, try the carnivore diet for some time. Start consuming these foods to get all of your fat-soluble vitamins! DATA: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/9095536/ 0:00 Introduction: Fat-soluble vitamins vs. water-soluble vitamins 1:06 How to increase your absorption of fat-soluble vitamins 4:10 Vitamin complexes 4:45 Benefits of fat-soluble vitamins 9:30 The best foods to get fat-soluble vitamins 14:02 Understanding osteomalacia 18:09 Check out my video on the gallbladder! Today I’m going to cover the best sources of fat-soluble vitamins. Fat-soluble vitamins are essential to help support a healthy body. Fat-soluble vitamins penetrate the cell membrane, go into the nucleus, and then connect with receptors that activate certain genes. Water-soluble vitamins are more like coenzymes or helper molecules that don’t go that far into the nucleus of the cell. You need fat to absorb fat-soluble nutrients. For example, you might add olive oil to your salad to extract nutrients. If you take a fat-soluble vitamin as a supplement, it’s important to take it with a meal or add a little bit of oil or fat to it to increase absorption. The absorption of fat-soluble nutrients is also dependent on bile. An unhealthy gallbladder or liver will diminish your bile and diminish your absorption of fat-soluble nutrients. Gut damage can also inhibit absorption. If you take a supplement, it’s important to take the complex, not a single nutrient. This way, you won’t throw off the balance and absorption of the nutrient. Not only do fat-soluble vitamins have a lot of amazing health benefits, but they also help you absorb certain minerals. When consuming foods rich in fat-soluble vitamins, try to get pasture-raised, grass-fed products. The best foods to get all of your fat-soluble vitamins: 1. Egg yolk 2. Cod liver oil 3. Fatty fish 4. Fish eggs 5. Liver and organ meats 6. Poultry fat 7. Shellfish 8. Cheese and cream 9. Today I’m going to share the #1 remedy for bloating: activated charcoal. Using activated charcoal also happens to be one of the best ways to detox. Activated charcoal can help with a range of issues, including: • Bloating • Gas • Belching • Nausea • Diarrhea • Headaches • Food poisoning • Stomach acidity • Detox reaction • Bad breath Activated charcoal is different from the charcoal used in a grill. You can find activated charcoal in a health food store, and it’s been used as a natural remedy for a long time. Activated charcoal binds to things like toxins and helps remove them. It’s important to remember that this remedy for digestive issues like bloating is only helping you with a symptom. It’s helping you in a natural way, which is fantastic, but it’s not getting to the root cause. There is usually an underlying cause leading to symptoms like bloating. But, while you work to identify the root cause, activated charcoal may be a beneficial natural remedy to use.
