Disciples are meant to be distinct and visible, and we need to be the salt and flavor in people's spiritual lives. In order to live like Jesus you need to recognize that you're not the main character of your story (He is), you're a missionary for spreading His Gospel, and you have to BE with Him in order to BECOME like Him. But what if we told you that what's yours is actually God's first. Everything you have and will have belongs to God first and foremost, that's why it's so important to give it back to Him and trust that he will bless your life in ways that you couldn't imagine; all you have to do is trust Him and give back to the provider. You ever think or make the statement "If I just had more money, then I'd be truly happy, feel accomplished, arrived, respected, ect?" We naturally want more of something when it's good; but it's important to not idolize money because it overpromises and underperforms. Remember to guard your heart against greed, honor the provider, and transfer your trust to the Lord. You can have all the "stuff" of this world, but it doesn't compare to the riches that come with having a relationship with Jesus.
