Kirkland Lake Discoveries CEO on Mirado's 'Shatter and Fill' Mineralized Footprint and the Push Into MZ Zone

The alteration and sulphide mineralization encountered across Kirkland Lake Discoveries' first six holes at the MZ Zone provide an early indication that the prospective hydrothermal corridor may extend well beyond the historical Mirado deposit footprint, said CEO Stefan Sklepowicz, who was interviewed by Mining Stock Daily. The MZ Zone, located roughly 500 metres west of Mirado, is showing the same alteration signature — silicification, pyrite, chlorite, and epidote — first identified through hyperspectral imaging of hole KLM26-004, supporting KLDC's emerging "shatter-and-fill" interpretation for the broader system. Recent step-out drilling has also materially expanded the near-surface mineralized footprint at Mirado itself. Kirkland Lake Discoveries has assembled a 420-km² exploration portfolio in the Kirkland Lake region of Ontario's Abitibi Greenstone Belt. The company finalized its acquisition of the Mirado asset in the spring of 2026.

Barry Knapp: The AI Trade is Nearing an Inflection Point

In this episode of Mining Stock Daily, Trevor Hall welcomes Barry Knapp of Ironsides Macro for a wide-ranging conversation on the macro forces shaping today's markets. Barry explains why investors should be focused less on whether AI spending is still growing and more on the rate of change in that growth, arguing that we may be approaching an important inflection point for the technology sector. They also discuss the recent volatility in South Korea's KOSPI, whether it's acting as a leading indicator for U.S. tech stocks, Japan's transition to a higher-rate regime, and why gold has remained resilient despite rising Treasury yields and a stronger U.S. dollar. ______ Terrahutton empowers junior mining companies to secure investment with immersive, interactive, and visually striking storytelling.
