Kuvaus

I help open-minded couples and people with an earnest desire to change and improve shed their old limitations and pain to realize their relationship goals and dreams. A life-threatening diagnosis of leukemia in 2003 led me to the discovery of how powerful our minds are for creating illness, health, despair, love, failure and success.  I have been married for almost 30 years and with my wife have raised three children who are now all in their 20’s. Mary and I confronted our own darkness of separation and potential divorce AND found our way back to each other. I was trained in 2006 at the American Academy of Hypnotherapy in Santa Fe, NM and have training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming from the NLP Center in New York City.  I’m a certified Hypnotherapist and Life Coach. I have owned, run and sold two businesses including a 50 person security business in Westchester Co. NY. I was a volunteer firefighter EMT in both Connecticut and Upstate NY. I’m the author of the business book, Becoming the Customer  [https://www.amazon.com/Becoming-Customer-Empathy-Influence-Closing/dp/1457520664/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1525609779&sr=8-1&keywords=becoming+the+customer]and the upcoming book Healing the Wounds of Time. https://www.petermclaughlin.com/ linkwithsean.com

Time Is Running Out: Why Living with Urgency, Purpose & Intentional Action Is the Only Path to Freedom and Fulfillment

You don’t know how much time you have left. None of us do. But we live like we do. We delay the dream. Postpone the conversation. Push off the decision that could change everything. As if life is a subscription that automatically renews. It doesn’t. Time is the only asset you spend without checking the balance. And here’s what most people miss: urgency isn’t about panic… it’s about clarity. When you realize your time is limited, you stop negotiating with distractions. You stop saying “one day” and start asking “why not now?” Urgency sharpens focus. It forces truth. It exposes what actually matters. Because at the end of the day, it’s not about doing more… It’s about doing what matters—while you still can. So the question isn’t how much time you have left. It’s this: Are you finally ready to act like it matters? linkwithsean.com

Freedom Isn’t a Wish Why Most People Say They Want Freedom but Avoid the Discipline, Sacrifice & Mindset Needed to Achieve Their Dreams

Everyone wants freedom. Financial freedom. Time freedom. Freedom to live life on their terms. But here’s the uncomfortable truth… Most people love the idea of freedom more than they love the actions required to earn it. Because freedom isn’t found in dreaming. It’s built in decisions. Early mornings when no one’s watching. Hard choices when comfort is calling. Consistency when motivation disappears. We say we want out… but keep choosing what keeps us in. Same habits. Same excuses. Same results. Freedom demands a trade: who you are today for who you need to become. And most people hesitate at that cost. Not because they’re incapable… But because they’re unwilling to let go of what’s familiar. So the question isn’t “Do you want freedom?” It’s this: Are you willing to change enough to deserve it? linkwithsean.com

Your Pain, Your Prison: How Self-Sabotage, Limiting Beliefs & Fear Keep You Stuck from Real Change

The hardest truth most people avoid? You are not just in pain… you’re participating in it. Not consciously. Not intentionally. But consistently. We say we want change, yet defend the habits, thoughts, and stories that keep us exactly where we are. We blame circumstances, timing, other people—but rarely look in the mirror long enough to see the real obstacle. Growth doesn’t stall because change is impossible. It stalls because it’s uncomfortable. And staying the same feels familiar. So we loop. Same patterns. Same frustrations. Different day. But here’s the shift: the moment you realize you’re part of the problem, you also become part of the solution. That’s where power lives. Not in waiting. Not in wishing. In ownership. Because the barrier isn’t out there blocking your path. It’s within you—waiting to be challenged, questioned, and ultimately… replaced. linkwithsean.com

Change Your Words, Change Your World The Language of Mindset, Identity Shift & Personal Transformation

Your life listens to the words you repeat. Not occasionally. Constantly. The way you speak—to others and to yourself—quietly shapes your identity, your decisions, and ultimately your results. Say “I’m stuck,” and your brain looks for evidence to keep you there. Say “I’m learning,” and suddenly doors crack open. Same circumstances. Different language. Different outcome. Words are more than communication. They’re commands. They direct your focus, filter your beliefs, and define what you think is possible. High performers understand this. They don’t just upgrade their habits—they upgrade their vocabulary. Because when you change your words, you change the meaning you assign to your life. And when meaning shifts, behavior follows. So listen closely to what you’re saying on repeat. Is it building a future… or reinforcing a limitation? Because the conversation happening in your head is either constructing your world—or quietly caging it. linkwithsean.com

The Messiah Marketing Method: Enroll in Pain, Expose the Plan, Explain the Payoff | Storytelling, Sales Psychology & High-Converting Messaging

Most people don’t struggle with selling. They struggle with connecting. The Messiah Marketing Method flips the script. It’s not about pushing a product. It’s about stepping into someone’s world so clearly they feel seen before they ever feel sold. First, you enroll in their pain. Not surface-level frustration—but the real, quiet struggle they don’t say out loud. Then, you expose the plan. You give them a path forward that feels simple, clear, and possible. Finally, you explain the payoff. What changes? What becomes available to them on the other side? This is where trust is built. Not through hype, but through understanding. Because people don’t buy when they’re convinced. They buy when they feel understood. If your message isn’t converting, it’s not because people don’t want what you offer. It’s because they don’t feel like you truly get them… yet. linkwithsean.com
