A push to remove lead from school drinking water moves forward after a Senate hearing in Upper St. Clair today. Lawmakers heard testimony on Sen. Devlin Robinson’s Senate Bill 759, which would require schools to replace outdated drinking fountains. Advocates, including David Masur, with Penn Environment backed the proposal, saying current lead testing policies have fallen short. The bill would require schools to install lead-filtering stations by 2028.
