Kuvaus

In this episode of Rooted and Woven, we’re continuing from last week’s session from the women’s event, where Deb spoke. In session one, we talked about what it means to be crucified with Christ… and now we’re stepping into the next part: “it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.” This conversation really centers on what that actually looks like in real life. Not just as an idea we agree with, but as something we live from. We talk a lot about dependence on Jesus—how easy it is to slip back into striving, and how freeing it is to remember that we were never meant to be the source of our own life. There’s a letting go here… and also a deeper kind of living. You’ll hear us talk through things like: * what it means to walk in humility instead of self-effort * being raised with Christ into a completely new kind of life * how the cross and resurrection really shape everything * noticing God at work in both the big, miraculous moments and the everyday ones * living as a new creation right now, not someday * stepping out of performance and back into grace * what it looks like to die to self in the middle of normal life * and what it means that Christ Himself is actually living in us More than anything, this episode is an invitation. An invitation to stop striving… and to rest in the reality that Jesus is your life—and He’s faithful to live through you.

Ep 44 // Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of God: What Is Eternal Life?

What does it mean to truly live? And what happened when you became a Christian? In this conversation from our Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of God series, Deb and Lori reflect on the life that Jesus offers—a life that begins with being born again and continues in daily fellowship with Him. Drawing from Scripture and their own experiences of walking with the Lord, they discuss the reality of eternal life, the transforming power of God's Word, and the work of the Holy Spirit in revealing Christ to us. Together, they explore the difference between knowing about God and truly knowing Him, discovering that genuine life, freedom, joy, and hope are found in a living relationship with Jesus. This conversation is a reminder that the gospel is not merely a message about life after death, but an invitation to participate in the very life of Christ today. As believers abide in Him, they find assurance of God's presence, confidence in His provision, and joy that remains regardless of circumstances. Join us as we consider the beauty of life in Christ and the reality of the gospel that continues to transform hearts.

Ep 43 // Embracing Singleness with Jesus // Deb + Laura

In this deeply honest and beautiful conversation, Deb shares what it has looked like to embrace singleness with Jesus. Together, we talk about seasons of loneliness, unmet desires, surrender, and the gentle work of God in the hidden places of the heart. Rather than hardening her heart through disappointment, Deb shares how the Lord drew her into a deeper intimacy with Him—showing her that He truly is enough. What unfolds is a testimony of friendship, romance, trust, and wholehearted devotion to Jesus. Whether you’re single, married, grieving, waiting, or simply longing for deeper intimacy with God, we pray this conversation reminds you that Jesus meets us fully in every season and lovingly draws us closer to Himself.

Ep 42 // Walking by Faith, Digging for Truth // A Walk With Deb

While walking the Weiser Trail, Deb recorded a voice memo conversation with the Lord in real time. No teaching plan. No polished structure. Just an honest walk with God and a willingness to follow where He led. As Deb processes truth out loud, you’ll hear moments of silence, reflection, and even the sound of her stopping to dig after an old metal plate buried in the ground—a moment we almost removed, but ultimately realized carried a deeper picture. Sometimes the Lord calls us to dig. To keep pursuing truth beneath our feelings, fears, and false identities until we uncover what He has always said is true. What if God’s Word is more real than our emotions? This episode is an invitation to slow down, take a walk, and listen with the Lord. We pray it encourages you to lean in, keep digging, and discover again the truth of who you are in Christ.

Ep 40 // A Matter of Life and Breath // Session 4: The Love of God

This episode is the fourth and final session from the A Matter of Life and Breath series , where we’ve been walking through Galatians 2:20—what it means to be crucified with Christ and to now live by faith in the Son of God. This conversation begins in an honest place: forgiveness. In light of the love of God, we often have to confront the ways unforgiveness has taken root in our hearts. Deb shares personally about the weight of unforgiveness, how it leads to bitterness, and how it subtly distorts our ability to believe the truth about who God is. Through repentance and renewal, we’re invited into alignment with what is true—that God’s love is not conditional, distant, or fragile… but constant, personal, and already given. As the conversation unfolds, we return to the anchor of Galatians 2:20: that we are loved, and that Jesus gave Himself for us. This is more than a concept—it’s a reality we’re invited to live from. This episode is a call into deeper discipleship, into living by faith, and into the freedom that comes from being fully known and fully loved by God.
