Laurel Hosmet shares her journey to becoming AD at Valpo and outlines how Northwest Indiana's D1 program is building their Mens and Womens Basketball programs in the MVC. This fall will be Valpo's 10th year in the MVC after moving up from the Horizon league. Laurel talks some Beacon Football (Pioneer League FCS) and the athletic infrastructure improvements and fund raising. Of course she weighs in on the recent ARCH Madness changes and all things in the MVC.

Coach Roger Powell Jr. talks about leading Valpo to its best conference winning percentage and highest league win total since joining the Missouri Valley Conference in 2017. The momentum of the program in Year 3 of the Powell Era sets up for a strong 2026-27. Coach shares his basketball journey from high School in Joliet IL to playing for the National Title at Illinois. After his NBA and overseas playing days he was an assistant for Bryce Drew at Valpo, Vanderbilt, and Gonzaga (we he coached in a National Championship Game) before returning to Valpo to lead the Beacons.

Courtney Boyd talks about the outlook for Valpo WBB in 2026-27 and her journey from Keokuk, Iowa to Indiana. She talks in depth about the Arch Madness Changes and the changes in the Beacon Program for her second year at the helm in Valpo. She is a national championship-winning head coach and player, an NAIA National Coach of the Year, and a two-time conference Coach of the Year, Boyd boasts a 180-100 (.643) record in nine years as a collegiate head coach and has won 20 or more games in seven of her nine seasons.
