Brenda’s guest today is Gabriel Gates, at the age of 8, he was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa. A disability services professional as the Director of Accommodations and Support at Front Range Community College in Colorado. Gabe’s short story, 40 Years Walking in the Wilderness, a lived experience testimony was included in the Anthology, What I Wish the World Would See and is currently available on Kindle.

In 2010, she was appointed by President Barack Obama to serve on the Board of Directors of the Legal Services Corporation. Julie also has M.S., and she and Brenda discuss volunteering to make positive changes in the world, self-affirmations, connecting with CCDC, and other topics.
