Kuvaus

On quite the heater in Chicago following the Astros weekend sweep over the Cubs, Houston keeps things rolling as they travel to Arlington to take on the Rangers, continuing their Silver Boot Rivalry. In an impeccable and historic Memorial Day performance, the Stros shut out the Rangers 9-0 Monday night with a combined no-hitter from Tatsuya Imai (6 IP), Steven Okert (1 IP), & Alimbert Santa (2 IP). Dropping Game 2 yesterday, but showing signs of having the ability to rally late following the final 10-7, the Astros appear to be turning things around here as we approach the month of June. Looking back on the Astros' trip to Chicago and hopes of closing out their rival series against the Rangers with the win, Astros GM Dana Brown joins Dan and Cole, evaluating Houston's recent rejuvenation over their time on the road, along with an injury update on a few players inching toward their return to the 26-man roster.

Astros Drop 2-of-3 to Washington, Eye Texas in Final Pre-Break Series

In the home stretch now leading into the league's midseason break, the Astros have endured a small hiccup, dropping their 3-game series to the Nationals yesterday with a final score of 8-2. With little to no movement in the AL West Rankings following yesterday's losses for the Mariners and the Rangers, the Astros still have a sufficient chance of clinching the AL West's top seed, now 3 games away from .500 baseball, and still 2 games away from the West's top seed. Looking to close out the first half of the season and continuing their Silver Boot rivalry against the Rangers tomorrow, Dan and Josh take a moment to look back on Houston's recent loss to the Nationals and share some things they've noticed over the past few weeks and last few games that could be the determining factor for Houston to clinch the West's top seed heading into the All-Star break.

Astros First-Half Finale: Dana Brown on Rays Win & Close v. Nats/Rangers

Approaching the All-Star break now with 4 games left on the schedule, the Astros have turned the tide as they've stayed afloat in the American League and their very own AL West Division currently standing at 46-48. Withstanding injuries, the lack of depth in some areas at times, and overcoming subpar performances, the Stros still have a strong chance to salvage their season, currently 2 games away from .500 baseball and the AL West's top seed. Looking back and reflecting on Houston's recent weeks, Astros GM Dana Brown joins Dan and Chris to assess and share a few of his own expectations he has to close out this first half of the 2026 season in today's rubber match against the Nationals, followed by Houston's Silver Boot finale series against the Rangers.

From Tampa Triumphs to D.C. Showdown: Steve Sparks Talks Astros Momentum

Moving on from the holiday weekend, the Astros have now completed their final homestand leading into the league's midseason break, taking 2 out of the 3 games from the Tampa Bay Rays. On the road for their last 6 games leading into the All-Star break, the Stros now travel to Washington to face the Nationals, then onto Arlington for another Silver Boot showdown against the Texas Rangers to conclude the first half of their 2026 season. Looking ahead to Houston's last 6-game stretch, Astros broadcaster Steve Sparks joins Dan and Chris to reflect on the Astros recent turnaround in June, followed by what to expect coming out of the All-Star break and leading into the Trade Deadline, expiring the first week in August.
