Kuvaus

You know when we have all of these big dreams of how "epic" our life will be a few years down the road and then we wake up one day feeling like we're nowhere close to what we had imagined? Maybe we're feeling like our life is missing joy, passion or purpose -- or maybe we got the "stuff" but something is still missing. Our guest today, Meridith Alexander, had her “walk around this lovely planet” explode when she got the call that her youngest daughter had been crushed by a boulder while hiking in South America and was not expected to survive. She jumped on a plane and headed south. Her focus since then became transforming the impossible into the “I’m Possible” and how to teach ordinary people that they are capable of achieving EPIC things that seem totally “unrealistic” when they know how to fuse their inner game with the outer game. In fact, she believes that it's thanks to these "impossible" boulders that come into our ordinary lives that we can transform them into epic lives. Meridith is a best-selling author, powerhouse mompreneur and top female motivational speaker who has become known for inspiring high-level professionals and entrepreneurs to venture beyond the place where their beliefs stop them -- all thanks to a plummeting boulder that changed her "old normal" into the destiny that she embraces today. She challenges you to explore the boundaries of endless possibilities, positive expectations and deliberate creation. With the remarkable life and death challenges that were laid firmly at her feet, she learned that it's these tiny individual seeds of Greatness that live waiting to be cultivated within our own minds. Then, as we master our own mindset and discover the real beauty within our own story, we become free to empower others and to go on to create "impossible" things.  Go Epic isn’t just a slogan for Meridith, it is her life. A Cornell study showed that 76% of us will look back on our lives and regret that we never went after those big dreams. That’s a scary statistic and today she is here to share her story and hopes to insure that you aren’t part of that 76%. Finding Meaning When Your Life Falls Apart with David Bain

Wednesday Wisdom Today’s guest, Davis Bain, is an author, chronic condition advocate, neurofeedback specialist, and graduate school counseling student whose life changed overnight during his senior year of college when a sudden injury led to Post-Concussion Syndrome. Davis has spent the last three and a half years navigating chronic pain, medical dismissal, financial strain, and the isolating weight of an invisible disability and he is still enduring all of this today. But Davis is not a quitter. He has turned that experience into his book "Chronic Pain Warrior" — a practical and compassionate guide for anyone facing chronic pain, illness, or injury. Davis is passionate about helping Chronic Pain Warriors and their loved ones feel seen, understood, and less alone and has dedicated himself in his ongoing work in neurofeedback and counseling. That in-the-trenches perspective became the foundation for his book Chronic Pain Warrior and he brings that raw, lived experience and genuine passion to our conversation today. We dive into the often silent topics of chronic pain, mental health, and resilience. The Leadership Skill Nobody Taught You: Understanding How People Work with Naomi Asher

TACO Tuesday! Take Action Crush Obstacles! Are you just exhausted with every day’s challenges? Find yourself saying, “Why do I keep putting up with everyone else’s crap? How can I get people to just do their job?” Today’s guest, Naomi Asher, is a leadership speaker, coach, and nonprofit strategist who helps leaders stop burning out and start understanding each other. After nearly two decades in nonprofit leadership, Naomi saw firsthand how capable, mission-driven leaders quietly run themselves into exhaustion while navigating complex teams and personalities.  She is the author of *Take to the Bed*, a book that challenges the belief that exhaustion is proof of commitment. Through speaking, coaching, and leadership programs, Naomi helps leaders build greater self-awareness, understand how people actually work, and lead with both permission and responsibility.  Her message is simple: leadership gets easier when you stop confusing exhaustion with commitment and start understanding the people around you. Today we dive into the Leadership Lesson Nobody Taught You. Join us for a great conversation and some insights on what you can do to break that cycle of exhaustion.  Learn more and contact Naomi here:  https://www.naomithemaven.com/work/speaking [https://www.naomithemaven.com/work/speaking] Be sure to download, Like and Share this, and all our podcasts with someone you know who needs to hear the Warrior Servant Leader Mindset message. https://www.thewarriorservantleaderpodcast.com [https://www.thewarriorservantleaderpodcast.com/] Connect with Pat, @patwelshjd on all the social media platforms Want to chat with Pat about his Speaking, Coaching and Training services?
