Why is the resurrection of Jesus Christ essential to the gospel? What does Christ's resurrection prove, and why does it matter for salvation? Finally, we explore the sufficiency of the resurrection and its connection to the believer's forgiveness. Unlike the temporary sacrifices and priesthood of the Old Testament, Jesus Christ offered Himself once for sin, rose from the dead, and entered into the presence of God with His own blood. The resurrection stands as God's testimony that Christ's sacrifice fully satisfied His wrath against sin and that His work alone is sufficient to save. This lesson shows that the resurrection is not merely an event in history—it is God's certification that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and that His finished work is sufficient for the salvation of all who believe.
