Unpolished but Called
Welcome to Unpolished but Called, where we have honest conversations about faith, real life, and following Jesus through every season. In this episode, we're talking about a question many Christians quietly wrestle with: Why do so many Christians feel lonely? We go to church. We attend Bible studies. We read Scripture. We serve alongside other believers. Yet many Christians still struggle with feeling unseen, disconnected, or lacking the deeper relationships they long for. In this conversation, we explore loneliness, mentorship, friendship, vulnerability, and why meaningful Christian relationships can sometimes feel harder to find than we expected. We talk about the difference between knowing Scripture and building relationships, the importance of honest conversations, and why sometimes the greatest gift we can offer someone isn't advice—it's simply our presence. I also share a personal story about an unexpected conversation in a doctor's office waiting room and how God used a simple moment of connection to remind me that we're never as alone as we think we are. Sometimes people don't need fixing. Sometimes they just need someone willing to sit with them. 🔗Linktree: https://linktr.ee/unpolishedbutcalled [https://linktr.ee/unpolishedbutcalled] 📧 Subscribe to the newsletter and receive the free devotional: kathrinshaffer.com [http://kathrinshaffer.com] 🎙️ Listen to The Long Way Through Scripture Bible Study Podcast ❤️ Support the podcast and ministry resources through the website.
