Kuvaus

Well, it happened again. Wests Tigers managed to help a struggling rival find some form, and in the meantime, our promising start to the season is starting to look shaky. Sure, we're missing some of our best players, but are we on that traditional slip 'N' slide down the ladder to our customary "also ran" level? On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast [https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/wests-tigers-podcast/id1445368434], Joel, Nick, and Josh take a look at whether the two heavy losses in the last two weeks spell the end, or is this just a dip before a major correction? There's a review of the Wests Tigers' performance against the Storm [https://www.nrl.com/draw/nrl-premiership/2026/round-10/storm-v-wests-tigers/], including a small handful of positives and passmarks from the game. Some players, though, despite probably trying hard, come in for a bit of scrutiny. As does the referee, who we believe had a particularly poor performance on Sunday afternoon. Then there's a little bit of a look ahead at the possible line-up for this weekend's Manly game. The boys look at whether Benji Marshall should opt to roll the dice and make some changes, including potentially trying to revert to some strategies that were working for us earlier in the season. Naturally, there's also a healthy list of well-thought-out 'One Word' submissions from the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum [https://weststigerspodcast.com.au/forum/] too. Speaking of the forum, we'd love to see you interacting and having your say there, so please feel free to join up and get involved. It's a tough time (again) to be a Wests Tiger, but let's stick together and hope the good times return real soon. Good to Great! How Wests Tigers Can Go To a Whole New Level

Over the past 12 months, Wests Tigers has achieved a feat that is more than admirable - a 50% win record. But while that's a really solid base to build on, what exactly do we need to do to take a big step up to being a team that wins most weeks? On this big midweek edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast [https://www.youtube.com/@weststigerspodcast3369], Joel is joined by Nick, Josh and Jordan to discuss that very topic. Each of the boys gives their opinion on how that big step can be taken by the club and team. Got a thought on that? Did we miss something? Feel free to leave a comment, or join in the discussion on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum [https://weststigerspodcast.com.au/forum/]. Also on this edition, Jordan shares his thoughts on the six-point win over the Bulldogs, and we have an injury update too, with one Wests Tigers star player expected back much sooner than we thought. The news is not so good for Alex Twal [https://www.weststigers.com.au/teams/nrl-premiership/wests-tigers/alex-twal/], though; the big fella is going to be sidelined for up to six weeks. How will losing Twal affect us? And does it give us the chance to tweak the way we play, having someone else at lock? And the future and career of Latu Fainu [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latu_Fainu] is also up for discussion, with Joel asking: are we ruining his development by using him as a Mr. Fix-It at this early stage in his career? Finally, attention turns to our big match this Sunday against the Panthers at CommBank Stadium in Parramatta [https://www.nrl.com/draw/nrl-premiership/2026/round-14/wests-tigers-v-panthers/]. Are we any hope against a side that will start as red-hot favourites? At least two members of the podcast team are feeling an upset is on the cards. We hope you enjoy this latest edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, and we look forward to bringing you a post-match edition following the clash with Penrith.  Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/wests-tigers-podcast--6660380/support [https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/wests-tigers-podcast--6660380/support?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rss].

Wests Tigers Roar Back to Winning Ways Against Dogs

The Wests Tigers found a way to win in a gritty and determined display against the Bulldogs on Saturday evening. Coming off three straight losses and a horror run with injuries and a key suspension, Wests Tigers got away with a 22-16 win [https://www.nrl.com/draw/nrl-premiership/2026/round-13/wests-tigers-v-bulldogs/] to take the side to 16 competition points. On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel, Josh and Nick first discuss some breaking news - reports that we're on the verge of signing the Dolphins' Jake Averillo [https://www.codesports.com.au/nrl/wests-tigers-close-to-landing-dolphins-star-jake-averillo-as-potential-replacement-for-jarome-luai/news-story/da5335060a33319b0ef47e943dfcc42a]. Averillo, who also played for the Bulldogs before heading north for a stint at Redcliffe, apparently wants to return to Sydney, and it appears Wests Tigers [https://www.weststigers.com.au/] are favourites for his services. What would he bring? Where would he play in our backline? We discuss the prospect of Averillo becoming a Tiger in 2027. Of course, we also have a hefty list of 'One Word' responses and submissions posted by the members of the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum [https://weststigerspodcast.com.au/engage-with-fans-on-wests-tigers-forum/]. And on that Bulldogs game, some key talking points come up for discussion, including: * The last-ditch defensive efforts that saved the night * The couple of heart-in-your-throat moments that we managed to survive * The performance of some of our star players * Injuries, injuries, and more injuries * The one guy that we probably have to leave behind to be a better football team And there's also a look at the key stats from the game, the exciting wins for our club right across the board this weekend, and some thoughts on who might have to come into the team for this week's clash against the high-flying Panthers. Oh, and Joel has his finals countdown numbers to share; tune in or hit play to see how we're tracking at this point in the season. We hope you enjoy this latest post-victory edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast [https://www.youtube.com/@weststigerspodcast3369]; thanks for your support!  Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/wests-tigers-podcast--6660380/support [https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/wests-tigers-podcast--6660380/support?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rss].

Time to let the Tigers out!

Episode 467 of the Wests Tigers Podcast, with Nick joined by Jordan for our midweek show! We kick things off with a quick recap of our Sunday night pod before chatting about Jordan’s upcoming trip to Vegas to watch the Wests Tigers take on the Storm. We recap the Connor Watson rumours and get Jordan's thoughts on whether the experienced utility could be a smart short-term fit for the club in 2027. From there, we have a look at State of Origin Game One, highlighting some key performers from both NSW and Queensland, while also looking at the Bulldogs players selected for the Blues — and whether Origin backing up could play a role ahead of Saturday night’s clash with the Tigers. Then it’s full preview mode for Wests Tigers v Bulldogs, as we run through all the key stats and storylines heading into the game. Plus score predictions, final thoughts, and plenty more Wests Tigers chat to wrap things up! It's Not Easy Being Black, Gold and White Right Now

It's not easy being green, well, we reckon sometimes it's harder being our famous colours! The Wests Tigers slumped to a third straight loss at the weekend, this time outclassed by Manly in Magic Round by 46-18 [https://www.nrl.com/draw/nrl-premiership/2026/round-11/wests-tigers-v-sea-eagles/]. In a team full of guys that try hard, but just don't have the size, speed, and class of the guys they are deputising for, Manly probably outplayed the Tigers in every aspect.  On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast [https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/wests-tigers-podcast/id1445368434], Joel, Declan, and Josh put the game under the microscope. Some of the main talking points across this edition of the podcast also include: * Does Jarome Luai deserve some of the harsh criticism he's been copping? * Madden injured? Who comes into the halves? * Herbert suspended, who plays centre? * How much did we miss Alex Twal? * Are there any other fullback options other than Mason? * Do we now go to market for a centre with Taylan May gone for the year? Of course, we also share our own 'One Word' submissions, and all those received from members of the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum [https://weststigerspodcast.com.au/forum/]. Keep your chin up, Wests Tigers fans, we get a much-needed week off and have some classy players on the cusp of an NRL return.
