Jim Green announces his candidacy for 96th Assembly race

A Republican challenger for the 96th Assembly.   Jim Green spoke about his candidacy on La Crosse Talk with Sean Dwyer on Tuesday morning.  Green said he grew up on a dairy farm outside Westby, raised a family, and has run a small business for the past 37 years.  He explained why he decided to run for office. He said he wants to bring common sense conservatism back to the area.   The 96th Assembly seat is currently held by Democratic Representative Tara Johnson.  If needed, primaries for either party are in August, with the general election set for November.  See omnystudio.com/listener [https://omnystudio.com/listener] for privacy information.

New Housing Development moving forward

There is a new Housing project being developed for the Southside of La Crosse. The developer is  Cinnaire.  The developer just secured a 1 million dollar grant for the project. Empify Health by Gundersen providing the space, via lease for $1. The 40 plus units are for individuals with disabilities. The building is located on 7th street/behind Emplify Health by Gundersen Housing is a huge need in the community.
