Victoria day long weekend is wrapping up across Canada and many drivers are heading home today before the work week begins. In today's Motormouth Morning Podcast we cover 5 important safety reminders before you hit the highway. From a proper pre - trip circle check to securing roof racks, trailers, hitch carriers and cargo loads, this is all about avoiding preventable problems on the road home. We also touch on towing safety, checking chains, lights, trailer latches, tires and why a quick walkaround at every fuel or coffee stop matters more than most drivers realize. We also recap some great Saturday Q&A questions and touch briefly on fleet maintenance systems and why high mileage alone should never automatically scare buyers away from a well-maintained older vehicle. Summer driving season officially begins now - and for 2026 our message is simple: Safety First. #VictoriaDayWeekend #TravelSafety #MotormouthCanada Like, subscribe, and share the channel to help us keep real-world automotive content rolling every week. episode AC Tutorial Part 3: Most Drivers Use Their System Wrong artwork

AC Tutorial Part 3: Most Drivers Use Their System Wrong

Welcome back to vehicle AC tutorial Part 3! Today we're talking about how to use your vehicle's air conditioning system smarter, and put less strain on expensive AC components. In this episode I walk you through the exact method I personally use during hot summer days: ✅ Crack the windows 2 inches all the way around ✅ Set the system to MAX AC ✅ Turn ON recirculate mode ✅ Use the LOWEST fan speed first ✅ Set air direction to FLOOR ✅ Let the hot escape while cold air rises naturally through the cabin Once the cabin starts cooling from the legs upward, close the windows and increase the fan speed one notch. Simple tricks like this can dramatically improve cabin comfort while helping your AC system operate more efficiently. I also share bonus tips on: 🔆 Windshield sunshades 🔆 window tinting within legal limits 🔆 Protecting dashboards and interiors from heat damage 🔆 Reducing cabin temperatures by up to 25-40% If you've ever wondered why your car takes forever to cool down in summer heat, this tutorial is for you. Part 4 drops Monday⚠️ Drop your hot- weather AC tips in the comments below-what works best for you? #VehicleACTutorial. #CarAirConditioning. #SummerDrivingTips Enjoying the Podcasts & Videos, you'd like to support our channels, Here's how: go to ☕️ buymeacoffee.com/motormouthnile any amount would be very much appreciated💕 Skippy & Motormouth. AC Tutorial Part Two: 5 things destroying Your Vehicle's Air Conditioning System

In today's podcast, we continue our AC tutorial series with Part two and cover the things drivers are doing that quietly destroy their vehicle's air conditioning system. We break down why shutting the AC system off improperly can create dangerous head pressure and damage your compressor, how line pressure contributes to leaks, why a plugged cabin filter can burn out your blower motor, and why "don't fix it if it ain't broke" is one of the worst attitudes when it comes to automotive air conditioning maintenance. We also discuss why proper evacuation and recharge service matters, how clean refrigerant protects the inside of your system from corrosion and debris, and why maintenance always matters more than mileage. If your AC isn't cooling properly, smells musty, cycles oddly, or you simply want it to last longer and avoid expensive repairs, this episode is packed with practical information every driver should know. #MotormouthMorningDrive #CarMaintenance. #ACTutorial Enjoying our podcast and videos, you'd like to support our channel, here's how, go to. ☕️: buymeacoffee.com/motormouthnile any amount you give is so appreciated friends, ❤️ Skippy & Motormouth.
