Descripción

This episode is such a treat, friend!  We'll sit down with my very own Improv teacher, Amy Angelilli. About Amy: As Third Space Improv’s Owner + Ringleader, Amy Angelilli combines the art of cooperative play with mindful moments and laughter to help others grow and connect personally – and professionally. She has facilitated “play”shops for business leaders, college students, conferences and retreats, non-profit organizations, summer camps (for kids and grown-ups!), after school programs, and active senior centers. Her immersive play-work focuses on self-discovery and meaningful connections ... and, of course, fun!  Currently she heads up a five-level improv school at Third Space Improv, her studio in St. Augustine, Florida, and she also leads team building, bonding, and development sessions for organizations – in person and virtually.  https://www.3rdspaceimprov.com/ Reference: https://www.rashmischramm.com

130. Are we all Just Running on that Hedonic Treadmill?

Solo episode! Please share widely:) In this episode, we unpack the hedonic treadmill—the invisible cycle that keeps us chasing “more” without ever quite arriving.  The human brain is wired for this patterns actually, and of course, modern culture can amplify it. Isn't it funny that the feeling of wanting is more addictive than having?  This isn’t about giving up your goals. It’s about reclaiming them. Inside, you’ll discover: * Why success can still feel strangely empty * The neuroscience behind wanting vs. having * How burnout isn’t always about doing too much—but never feeling enough * Three simple practices to step off the treadmill and return to your life Because the goal isn’t less ambition. It’s aligned ambition. There is a version of your life that feels expansive, grounded, and deeply enough—while still growing. Reference: https://www.rashmischramm.com

episode 128. What if Autopilot is Your Greatest Asset (and Not the Enemy) artwork

128. What if Autopilot is Your Greatest Asset (and Not the Enemy)

I've been thinking about autopilot lately.  Because I've found myself in autopilot a few times this week. And I noticed how supportive it feels.  In this episode, I flip the narrative on autopilot—the thing we’ve all been told to “get off of.” Instead of seeing it as mindlessness, I invite you to view it as one of your brain’s most intelligent, energy-saving tools. What we're exploring: - Why autopilot is actually a sign of growth and efficiency - How your brain uses automation to conserve energy - The real reason autopilot feels “off” sometimes - How to identify which patterns are serving you—and which need an updat Presence isn’t about doing everything consciously. It’s about consciously choosing what becomes automatic.
