A special service took place yesterday in Limerick to mark the 30th anniversary of the shooting dead of Detective Garda Jerry McCabe. The mass took place at Holy Rosary Church on the Ennis Road where family, friends and former Garda colleagues attended. Limerick comes bottom of the List in the latest IBAL survey

Limerick City Centre has been branded the dirtiest area in the country after finishing bottom of the latest Irish Business Against Litter league table.  The survey of 40 towns and cities labelled the city centre as "littered," citing long-term neglect at Mount Kennet Place and Parnell Street. Planning application submitted for former Horizon mall site
