#58 Hot Chocolate - Scot or Not - Public Poking

Shannon and Tom are back with the Saturday Drop in to make your stay in hospital that little bit better! As well as our usual fun of Guess the Year and Beat Detective as well as keeping your up-to-date with our NHS Highland community in the coffee corner, we have a welcome return of This or That in 'Scot or Not'. However, we then found out that the writer of the quiz mis-sold us! Expect a claim. We finally find Tom's limit of a sweet that stops him broadcasting. Shannon takes great pleasure in being the designated driver on the Saturday Drop In night out. And, as our fame grows we get some responses from listeners on our notice board, in short, Tom got poked. #56 Highland Archive Centre - 'Lunch' with Lorna - Shed/Puberty/Old

Shannon and Tom (and the posse!) are back for another Saturday Drop In. Joining us in the studio was Lorna from the Highland Archive Centre. Listen in to find out just how fascinating the archive centre is, with records going back as far at the 1500. There is so much history to explore. Lorna also tells us about her YouTube series 'Learn with Lorna'. Find out more about the archive centre at their website [https://www.highlifehighland.com/archives/highland-archive-centre] and subscribe to the Learn with Lorna episodes on YouTube here. [https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyxasYGi8kIcL7OThf1QGsHAMACY_1DGE&si=Q_q6mKlu-G7_ZAQS] We also found out Tom's three word week was Shed/Puberty/Old, sour sweets ain't what they used to be, and how long does it take to count some slips of paper anyway? We'll have your usual games of Beat Detective and Guess the Year as well as the NHS Highland Coffee Corner. Get in touch at socials@hhr.scot and subscribe for more. Head over the Highland Hospital Radio website [https://hhr.scot] to find the full schedule and listen again to lots of great shows.

#54 World Parkinson's Day - Jelly Bean This or That - Hedgehog Awareness

Shannon and Tom bring you another dose of fun, games and good chat to make your time in hospital that little bit better. Today's show was on World Parkinson's Day and we spoke about the condition with media officer for Parkinson's UK in Scotland Iain Stephen Morrison. We talk about symptoms of Parkinson's, the services available to people living with Parkinson's in the Highlands and the fundraising efforts needed to support these services. You can find out more at https://www.parkinsons.org.uk [https://www.parkinsons.org.uk] Tom tells us about a fun night out in Inverness City Centre, being perhaps the only local person in the bar, cocktail fun and games, followed by meeting a new neighbour in the garden. We play a game of Guess the Year, Beat Detective and the Jimmy's Jangles team join us for a game of Jelly Bean Roulette. It's all good fun!
