Talking Rubbish - Recycled Content
A listeners council has expanded what can go in blue bins to include Tetra Paks, but dedicated carton recycling points may still give cartons the best chance of being properly recycled. While kerbside systems are improving, cartons remain tricky to sort and often require specialist facilities. In general, the more separated recycling streams are, the more effective the recycling process tends to be, so if it’s convenient, continuing to use the dedicated Tetra Pak bin is probably the better environmental option. While every effort has been made to provide the most accurate information, recycling guidance changes quickly and some advice may become outdated over time. Always check with your local council for the rules that apply to recycling in your area.
